Warm Up:
Play the minor pentatonic scale and the blues scale using the Jazz Poem.
Play triads using the Jazz Poem and play the minor blues triad exercise (worksheet).
Introduce section 1 of the Root Progression (half steps ascending).

Lesson:
Learn Mr. PC (worksheet), paraphrase the melody through the form, use the minor pentatonic
and the blues scale to improvise, improvise on the triads of the minor blues progression.
Improvise using the 2 blues melodies/backgounds from the Lesson 2 (worksheet).

Theory Concept:
Introduce the notes above and below the treble clef up to one ledger line, quarter notes and
quarter note rests.
Study and memorize the minor blues progression.
Introduce the Root Progression Section 1.

Ear Training:
Sing the roots of the minor blues progression.
