QUESTIONS:
(1) Calculate the total calories of each food group and then estimate to the highest place.

Considering the total calories of the choosen food groups as the sides of a triangle , calculate the
area of the triangle.(Use of calculator is permitted)
(4) In the age group 914 years, a boy needs 1800 calories and a girl needs1600 calories per day.
(A) Prepare a list of food items which you consume on any particular day along with their calories.
Then compare whether the calories intake from these food items is more or less than the standard
requirements.
(B) Prepare a diet chart for yourself selecting food items of your choice from the table given above
so as to meet the daily calorie requirements. (You can increase or decrease the quantity of food
items). Selection of food items should be done keeping the idea of balanced and healthy diet in
mind.
(5) Make a BMI pie chart for your family and also categories members as healthy , underweight
or overweight .

SCIENCE
Keeping in mind Health is wealth, collect information about daily calorie requirement of children
of your age, weight, height. Also find the calories present in various food items (as per the need of
your survey).
1. Conduct a survey of around 20 children of your age group with respect to a) daily calorie
intake b) fitness regime.
2. Tabulate the data and write about consequences of being underweight, overweight and
obesity.
