FOUNDERS ACHIEVEMENT AWARD (FAA) & EUROPEAN FAA ENHANCEMENTS

Performance Year 2016/17

In 1991, we launched the Founders Achievement Award (FAA) a special financial award for Diamond Bonus Recipients who successfully develop
Q12 legs. In 1995, we upgraded the programme, in order to further encourage and reward your aspirations for in-depth leadership development
and international outreach. If successful, you will receive the FAA payment on an annual basis. This decision is taken at the sole discretion of Amway
management. With FAA, we are extremely happy and proud to reward you for promoting strong and ethical leadership. FAA is by no means a guaranteed
portion of the Amway Sales and Marketing Plan. Amway reserves the right to introduce changes to theprogramme.
With the European harmonisation process, we have included additional enhancements
to the global FAA programme in order to encourage your ambitions of building stronger,
cross-border businesses across Europe.
FAA is a global programme and all ABOs have the same criteria for participation: to enter the
FAA programme an ABO must be a Diamond Bonus Recipient with min. 8 FAA Points.

With the FAA programme an ABO

can earn an additional reward starting
at 19,000/27,000!

Rules of counting European

in-region legs
Within this European Enhancement to the FAA programme, as European in-region legs,
you will have no limits to the number of legs per market (up to a total of 6 FAA points
per country).

We will calculate your FAA points for in-region legs based on your highest level achieved
in that leg until you reach a foster sponsored leg.
European Emeralds and Diamonds who achieved this level, based on European
Legs, will generate FAA points for you in the same manner as the national Emeralds/
Diamonds.
This document is designed to offer you comprehensive information about European
additions and other principles of the FAA programme. All are currently effective and defined
under the Founders Achievement Award.

Q12 VOLUME EQUIVALENCY

An enhancement to the FAA programme effective since the beginning of the PY 2001/02 allows Volume Equivalency for legs that have generated
substantial business but not achieved Q12: A business that has a minimum of 10 qualified months (IQ*, IA*, ID*) and generates a minimum annual
total volume of 120% the standard Q12 qualifying volume (e.g. 120% x 10,000 PV x 12 months = 144,000 PV) will be treated in the same way as
a Q12 leg for FAA purposes.
*Please refer to the Glossary.

EXAMPLE

Highest qualifier in each leg

A#1 will not count A#2 nor C as
D generates more FAA points,
therefore the in-region line has
been followed to the highest
qualifier. A#1 would therefore
receive 1.5 FAA Points because
of the European Enhancement
rather than 1 FAA point for A#2
according to the global FAA
programme.

EXAMPLE

In-region legs until a foster

line is reached
A#1 cannot count D as there is
a foster link between C and D.
Therefore, A#1 can count C for
1.5 FAA Points.

per market.

CONVERTING FAA POINTS TO REWARDS

AND AWARDS
1.BASIS FOR FAA PAYMENTS

2.FAA PAYMENT SCHEDULE

FAA payments are based on the markets BV

equivalent. BV equivalent is the monthly BV
needed to qualify at a markets maximum
Performance Bonus level.

FAA uses a progressive schedule to reward

ABO leaders for their leadership contribution
according to the following schedule:

The BV needed to qualify at the maximum

Performance Bonus level (21% for international
markets and 25% for NABR*) varies from
market to market in terms of US Dollars.
Forexample, the BV needed in Japan is about
2 times the volume needed in Malaysia in
terms of US Dollars. Thiscomparison is often
called the profitability index. Profitability index
is reviewed annually.
The payment for 8 FAA Points in a market
isapproximately 1.5X that markets BV
equivalent and is referred to as the FAA
EntryLevel Amount.

3.CALCULATION OF FAA PAYMENTS

At the end of the Performance Year (PY),
the Worldwide Sales Plan Administration
department calculates payments for each
participant using the FAA schedule for the
market where FAA point was earned.
See the following example.
Diamond ABO Z has the following FAA points:

FAA PAYMENTS

PAYMENT CALCULATION:
From Market X = (7/8) X 19,000 = 16,625
(7 points paid from the schedule for Market X)
From Market Y = (1/8) X 22,000 = 2,750

4.FOUNDERS ACHIEVEMENT AWARD ONE

TIME CASH AWARD (OTCA)
A special FAA OTCA is paid to the top ABO leadership,
thefirst time they achieve the 40, 45, 50, 55, 60, 65
and 70 levels according to the FAA OTCA schedule.
Inthe PYwhen ABO achieves these levels for the first
time they receive FAA OTCA instead of regular annual
FAA payments. These OTCAs will be paid over three
(3) years: 50% payment in the first year, 40% payment
upon the 2nd year of qualification at milestone**
and 30% payment upon the 3rd year of qualification
at milestone**. Qualifiers have up to five (5) years to
requalify and achieve their 2nd and 3rd payments.
The FAA OTCA Award schedule is as follows:

6.USING FAA POINTS FOR HIGHER AWARD QUALIFICATION

In addition to the traditional legs for Pin Awards and Rewards, effective PY 1999/00,
Founders Diamonds and above may qualify and requalify their primary and multiple
businesses for Pin Awards and Rewards using FAA Points.
FAA Points for Pin qualification must follow the Line of Sponsorship including international
legs one country removed (please refer to the example on the next page), same as the
traditional manner of 6-month leg qualification. Qualifiers for higher awards via FAA
Points will receive the same pins, recognition, OTCAs (from Double Diamond onwards for
the first time qualification), and trips as qualifiers using legs.
