audio then post it on your site/blog, very similar to Recordr. What
I like so much about AP is that no registration is required; all you

the look you are going for. Plus, you can customize any one of their

Dirpy

Summary: Dirpy is a new (beta) site that allows users to upload

YouTube videos and extract the audio. This is ideal when all you
need is that hard to find song/blurb/quote that can only be found
on YouTube. I'm not sure what kind of permission rights come into
play, but anything "common craft" should be just fine.

What makes Dirpy so good is how easy it is to use. Just upload a

YouTube video (via a URL), adjust your settings and file size, and
click download to Mp3.

Jam Studio

Summary: Jam Studio is a new site that is for creating/mixing music.

I like to think of it as an online version to Garageband. While it
might not have all the bells & whistles that Garageband does, it has
a very nice look to it and is a lot of fun for mixing music.

Another nice feature about JS is that you do not need an account to

create music. If you want to save/share your music you will need to
register but just to have fun using the site nothing is required.

Myna

Summary: Myna has to be one of the coolest online applications

I've seen in a long time. This is a music/sound editor very very

Garageband. All you have to do is get started is to create an
account, click on the app you want to use (audio editor) and start
experimenting w/ all types of music.

One True Media

Summary: This is one of the better video mash-up sites in the sense
that it is very easy to use and offers some very nice tools/effects for
the user. I would have to compare OTM as a cross between
iMovie and Pulp Motion. It is similar in iMovie on how you have to
edit a video clip, add your music and then select your transitions
and effects. Although, the finished product looks like something Pulp
Motion would create which gives it that very smooth/polished look.

YouCube

Summary: It is a place where users can publish YouTube videos

onto a 3-Dimensional cube.

I can see this being used in a class (w/ appropriate guidelines)

where students pick videos of a "central" theme and then link those
videos together via the cube. For example, lets say students were
doing a science project on plants, they can select videos of certain
topics that have to do w/ plants and post them to the cube (ex,
photosynthesis, chlorophyll, etc).
