9. Recommendations
1. All three units have been tested thoroughly during development
stages and post delivery at ADRDE. All the analog and digital links are
performing satisfactorily.
2. All the environmental tests have been performed on the unit and it
has functioned satisfactorily during the tests.
3.Unit has also qualified all EMI/EMC tests. However, radiations of the
frequencies under 1 MHz were observed to be crossing the limits
prescribed under RE102 tests. Since the system has designed to be
used with COMINT payload operating in the frequency band of 20 MHz
to 18 GHz, these radiations are not likely to have any effect on the
system performance.
4. EDFA has been chosen to provide 0 dB link gain for all IF and RF
channels. Though some of the parameters are different from the
demanded specifications, EDFA used in the system was found to be
more appropriate to provide required system performance.
5. The unit has been integrated and is being tested in actual trials
along with COMINT payloads for project Nakshatra and has been
functioning satisfactorily since last 3 months.
The system is therefore recommended for acceptance.
