THE MEDICAL COUNCIL ACT
Regulations made by the Minister, after consultation
with the Medical Council, under sections 2 and 42
of the Medical Council Act
1. These regulations may be cited as the Medical Council (Medical
Institutions) Regulations 2016.
2. In these regulations
Act means the Medical Council Act.
3. For the purpose of section 2 of the Act, every institution specified
in the Schedule shall be a medical institution.
4. The Medical Council (Medical Institutions) Regulations 2004
are revoked.
5. (1) Where, at the coming into operation of these regulations,
a person is studying, or has enrolled to study, medicine at a medical
institution specified in the revoked regulations, that medical
institution shall, in respect of that person, be deemed to be a medical
institution under these regulations.

(2) In this regulation

revoked regulations means the Medical Council (Medical

Institutions) Regulations 2004.

6. These regulations shall come into operation on 1 January 2017.
