DISCUSSION

RESULTS

Based on the results, the aggregate impact value (AIV) of aggregate is 19.18 %.
During the experiments, we found that the total weight of aggregate after
tamping is 0.315 kg and total weight before tamping is 0.318. So, its not same
because its due to human error which is the way we handle the apparatus is not
correct. For example, during tamping maybe some of the aggregate have
outbound from the mould.

CONCLUSION

From the experiment, we get average percent of aggregate impact value is 19.18
%. So, the value is achieve the JKR Standard aggregate impact value which is <
30 %. The aggregate used in construction should be strong enough to resist
crushing under traffic wheel loads. If the aggregate are weak, the stability of the
pavement structure is likely to be adversely affected.
