Feedback:

Course Feedback is of two types, Formative and Summative. Both types of feedback are
accessible to students online via Moodle. The Formative feedback is accessible during the 3 rd
week of the course only and the Summative feedback is accessible from the week before the
MAKAUT University Examinations to the week after the MAKAUT University Examinations,
according to the Institutional Academic Calendar. Each question in the feedback is rated on a five
point scale (Yes, Largely, Partially, Marginally, No) with the best being Yes (5) and the worst
No (1). Comments are also welcomed from students and there is a separate section in the
feedback for allowing students to comment on any other aspects not directly covered by the
feedback questionnaire. Teacher Feedback is also taken for each course.
On evaluation of the feedback, any gaps identified (such as low comprehension by the students)
are acted upon using strategies to strengthen the particular parameter and eliminate the gap (for
example, sending of the particular faculty to a Faculty Development Programme to strengthen
the faculty members skill and ensure elimination of the gap or weakness).
Graduate Student Feedback:
Graduate Student Feedback is designed according to the Programme Outcomes to assess
indirectly how much a student graduating the particular programme has in his or her perception,
attained the Graduate Attributes related to the Programme Outcomes. This feedback is collected
once a year during the Farewell session conducted for Final-Year students of a Department. This
feedback is used to identify curricular gaps and strengthen POs where required.
