HOLLINS, B. E.
Officers were in routine patrol in fully marked police vehicle (1334) at MLK and
Court St, when we observed 2 males standing in the ColorMax parking lot. Ofc
Brewer observed the offender hand another male an unknown item while holding a
large amount of cash. From officers training and experience we knew this behavior
is common for narcotics transactions.
Officers made contact with the offender and Hildreth. Upon contact, both
parties placed their hands into their pants pocket. I made contact with the offender,
asked and was granted permission to search his person. Before I began my search,
the offender advised me that he had a Loratab in his pants pocket. I reached into
his front left pants pocket and retrieved an oblong orange pill with "V" written on
it. The offender voluntarily stated that he did not have an a prescription for it and
got the pill from a friend.
Ofc Brewer made contact with Hildreth as he pushed his body against to the car
and reach toward his rear pocket. Ofc Brewer observed a bulge in Hildreth pocket
and informed him to remove his hand. Hildreth refused and began telling officers
he was doing nothing wrong. Ofc Brewer had to remove his hand from his pocket
and asked for consent to search his pocket. Hildreth consented to the search but
continued to tell officers he was going to sue us. Ofc Brewer felt a several
unidentifiable items in his left pants pocket. Ofc Brewer asked if he had pills on
him and Hildreth stated sometimes he keeps his medication in his pocket. Officers
retrieved several screws and other items from his pants pocket.
Officers later discovered another pill in the offenders front right watch pocket of
his pants.
Officers later identified the pill using Drug.com as Acetominaphen Hydrocodone a
scheduled II narcotic.
The offender was issued a citation (UTT-8220106873) and released
