study. It is descriptive because it described the profile of

the respondents such as: age, gender, year level, highest
educational attainment of parents, occupation of parents and
religious affiliation and their perceived causes of liquor
exposure. It is correlational because it made a correlation
between

the

perceived

causes

of

liquor

exposure

among

criminology students and their profile variables.

A questionnaire answered by the respondents was used to

of criminology to conduct a study and data gathering by
means of paper-based and pen questionnaire which were signed
by the research adviser.
The
researchers
made

coordination to the Dean of the School of Criminology and

upon approval by the Dean of the request, the researchers
floated the questionnaires to the respondents to arrive at a
desired result of the study. Retrieval of the questionnaires
was done as soon as the respondents finished answering the
questions.
Statistical Tools
The descriptive statistical tool appropriate for the
data on the perceived causes of liquor exposure is the
frequency

counts,

percentages

and

mean.

The

mean

was

obtained by adding all the scores in the set. This was used
to determine the average perceived causes of liquor exposure
of the respondents. The 3-point Likert Scale was used to
transmit the response of the respondents for each item and
