WE WELCOME FR MICHAL OLEKSOWICZ, who will be with us from this weekend, and will be
supplying for us whilst Fr Andy takes a well earned break.

Standing Orders 446, Total 1,261.08. The retiring collection for the National Catholic Fund
amounted to 334.70. Many, many thanks for your generosity.
HOME MISSION SUNDAY is celebrated this weekend and the theme is "Proclaim the Joy of
Love". Prayer cards are available in the Church porches. On this day we are encouraged to pray
for the work of evangelisation in England and Wales, remembering in our prayers especially
those whom we know are distant from the life of faith. There will be a retiring collection held
which funds the Bishops national work of evangelisation. Please support.
DECEASED Please pray for Marian Bellamy RIP who died last week, her body will be received
into Our Lady of Peace Church on Monday, 3rd October at 4.00pm and her Requiem Mass will
be on Tuesday, 4th October at 12noon followed by committal at Slough Crematorium. Marian
was a well known and loved member of our Parish community, in both health and illness Marian
fought the Good Fight with faith, courage and humour. She was inspirational in adversity.
Although we will miss her greatly, we will never forget the brightness and vivacity she brought
into the life of our Parish. Rest in Peace Dear Marian.

REJOICE IN MOTHERHOOD : MOTHERS PRAYERS For Mothers who wish to pray together
for their children and grandchildren - Mothers, Grandmothers, Aunties! Please come and join us
as we pray for our children, Our Lady of Peace Church at 10.30am (as normal) or at 7.00pm on
Thursday, 22nd September.. Please not for those unable to attend the regular 10.30am
Thursday meetings, once a month there will be an evening meeting at 7.00pm. All Christian

OUR LADY OF PEACE CATHOLIC PRIMARY SCHOOL Cleaner required to start as soon as
possible Monday Friday, 3 hours per day (3.15pm. - 6.15pm.) Term time only + 3 weeks
Salary: Slough School level 1 SCP 9 7.75 per hour inc. Local Weighing We are looking for a
hard-working, reliable and motivated individual to undertake cleaning duties. You will be required
to carry out a range of cleaning tasks, including dusting, mopping, wiping surfaces and
vacuuming, in order to provide a safe & hygienic learning environment. The ideal candidate will
be able to work on their own initiative and take pride in their work and the appearance of the
school. This is a permanent position. Although this is a term-time only contract, a deep clean
takes place during the main school holidays, when you will be expected to work an additional

SPIRIT AND LIGHT In place of the usual Spirit and Light evening this month, there will be a
Charismatic Prayer Evening led by the Northampton Diocese Service Team on Friday, 30th
September, 7.30pm-9.30pm, at St Josephs Church Hall, Austenwood Common, Chalfont St
Peter, SL9 8RY. If you would like a lift please contact Fr Andy. Transport will leave Our Lady of
Peace church at 6.30pm. Please see poster for more details.
PARISH RETREAT 8TH 9TH OCTOBER To be held at the Bridgettine Convent, Iver Heath.
The theme this year will be from Mt 9:37 The harvest is plentiful, but the labourers are few
and will be led by Fr Simon Penhalagan. The cost will be the same as last year at 25.00 /day
and preference will be given to those who wish to attend both days. Each day will start with tea,
coffee etc at 9.00am and Mass will be said during the weekend. To reserve your place and for

Sundays.
POP GOES THE CHOIR returns on Saturday, 22nd October at 7.00pm at St Andrew's. Tickets
