Please answer the following questions in proper essay format. DO NOT

type in BLOCK letters.
In 100 words or less, why do you want to join the ELC?

Aside from the stories I've had from my brother, I know that ELC can give me a
diffeerent type of experience as a student and an innovator. I know that I will learn a
lot from the conference and even meet new friends from different walks of life. I want
to experience ELC as part of my personal development and to grow on my knowledge
and wisdom to make my self worth and be a person that would help my generation be
molded as game-changers. I knew that such an idea would somehow be very difficult
to achieve but I believe that the purpose by which I am motivated to do, that is to
make a change, is a challenging role as a very young person. But with due hope and
inspiration, and with all the matters I can absorbed from the conference, I am very
hopeful that I can really learn a lot from this conference.
In 300 words or less, describe the relationship between population and the environment.
Explain the importance of the human person in addressing environmental problems.
In the current status quo involving our planet, the relationship between population
and the environment has gained both the pros and cons of all the matters and issues
surrounding it. However, it is clear that everytime there is an increase in the
population, the environment somehow suffers due to the rising demand to the needs
of the growing quantity of people arising together with the environment's capacity
that can be imparted upon both the relationship concerned. This can be observed on
urban places by which crowding has been a problem, and environmental degradation
has been in existence. This scenario usually happenes on areas by which poor urban
development has been the problem. The environmental preservation would somehow
have been neglected. On the contrary, there are areas wherein the more people there
are, the more that the environment has been preserved and guarded well. This
scenario could somehow be more demonstrated on the Province of Batanes by which
due to the high morale, integrity, and good norms of the people living there, as well as
the appropriate rural development established on the area, there was a certain great
development on the environment. This is where the importance of human person has
been well-addressed.

In fact, it is very necesarry that there must be a human factor that would address
problems in terms of the environment. It is in the shoulder of every human person on
how to give worth on it's environment and give life and security to it, since it has been
the greatest contributor on the impression of how the society caters the people whom
are living with its environment. It is more specifically the mirror of the relationship(s)
between the population and the environment, and as part, the mediator of the issues
and matters concerning humanity. There should always be a good relationship
between an individual and in his/her environment, and the comparisons shall always
be transparent and imaginative in order to enforce good solutions towards
unpredictive problems on the matters that may be addressed.
In 100 words or less, what are your expectations from this conference? In what way can
you contribute to the success of the 5th WYAAP ELC?
I really expect to hear more ideas and visions from different speakers, learn new
things from new friends, and after the conference, be part of WYAAP's mission to
protect and defend human dignity. I believe that there are bigger things in life that I
still have to experience, and I expect to have it experienced at the WYAAP ELC. As
part, I am willing to give my full participation and attention to every topic being
discussed and activities to be organized by the WYAAP. In part, I will be a keen
observer in order to really give further suggestions for the development of this
conference and for the many more activitie of WYAAP in the region. I am really looking
forward to be part of this conference.
