seven critical units. (1) Number System fluency; (2) Rate, Ratio,
Fractions, and Proportional Reasoning; (3) Rational Number relationships;
(4) Algebraic Expressions; (5) Algebraic Equations and Inequalities; (6)
Area and Volume; and (7) Statistics and Rational Explorations.

Homework: Homework will be assigned daily. It is the students

responsibility to complete the assignment and to show work.
Homework is checked at the BEGINNING of EACH CLASS.

The purpose of homework is to practice individually the concepts

taught in class. If there is a piece of the homework that you do
not understand then I am expecting that you come to the next
class with questions written down to ask and a parent guardian
signature on the assignment.

Late or Missing work

Homework will be assigned daily in addition to work that will be

completed in class. All homework will be checked in the next class
at the beginning. If you do not have your homework completed
you must fill out a late slip and attach it to your work and turn it
the following day, points will be deducted for lateness. Late work
will not be accepted after 2 days after the due date.
Math Binder
A three ring binder with 5 dividers is required daily. All papers
from me will come three hole punched and binder ready. Binder
checks will be part of your grade, organization is important.
*If your supplies run out it is your responsibility to replace them.
Agendas
Agendas are required for the entire year for all classes. Agendas
need to be completed daily at the beginning of class. I will sign
your agendas daily to ensure that you understand what your
evenings responsibilities are. Agendas are also your hall pass, you
will need your agenda if you need to leave the classroom.
