WORKSHOPS AND ACTIVITIES – OPEN TO PEOPLE EXPERIENCING MENTAL DISTRESS

Food for Mood: the cookbook project – intro meeting on Weds 2nd June, 1pm
The CoolTan Arts recipe book project is more than just a cookbook! There are workshops
and discussions and loads of ways to get involved. On Wednesday 2nd June, at lunchtime
(of course!) we’ll be having a brief get-together to describe the project and answer
questions. There will be food on offer. Please feel free to come if you’re just curious:
there’s no obligation to get involved, but we want to let people know about it.
Also, look out for new volunteer Lynda Laird, who will be interviewing and photographing
people over the next few weeks, finding out what everyone thinks about food: shopping,
eating, growing veg, sharing meals.
If you’re able to come to the meeting, or if you can’t come but would like to find out more, please talk to
Elizabeth Cochrane: you can call 07736 411494 or email elizabeth@cooltanarts.org.uk
Follow Elizabeth’s progress on http://worldofdifference.vodafone.co.uk/uk/elizabeth-cochrane/ali-smith-for-

Fantastic Food workshops: visual arts, storytelling and drama

As part of the Food for Mood project, there will be three great workshops around the topic of food, using drama
and storytelling as well as ‘cross arts’ techniques. Come and make collages, explore memories, talk tastes.
Share your tips for where to shop and eat in the local neighbourhood; think about what your perfect meal
would be – and who you’d share it with! You can turn up to just one of the workshops, or all three. There
should be some actual food involved, as well as lots of chat and craftiness.
Dates/times: Tuesday 22nd June – 12-2pm; Tuesday 29th June – 12 - 2pm; Friday 2nd July – 3 - 5pm.
Let Elizabeth or Clara know if you’re interested in coming along.
