Course Description
Financial and Workplace Math 110 follows the Anglophone- East School District Essential
Outcomes as well as the outcomes prescribed in the Financial and Workplace 110 New
Brunswick Curriculum Document.

A minimum mark of 60% is required in Financial and Workplace Math 110 to obtain a credit in
this course. Universities and colleges will likely expect a higher mark than this on your
transcript.

One of Foundations of Mathematics 110/Financial and Workplace Mathematics 110 are required
in order to graduate.

Financial and Workplace Math 110 is a pre-requisite for Financial and Workplace Math 120.

Course Components
Finance, budgeting, geometry, Pythagorean Theorem, right angle trigonometry, slope and rate of
change, proportional reasoning, statistics and logical puzzles and games

Course Expectations
Attendance:

It is the responsibility of the student to find out what work has been missed
during an absence and to get caught up on notes, missed tests, quizzes and

to find out what we are working on in class.

Extra Help:

If you run into a problem get help immediately. Extra help is available upon
request.

formulas and solving slope problems such as the grade of roads & pitch of the roofs and

Formative assessments will be given on a regular basis and evaluated. These formative assessments
may be used at the end of the semester to calculate the final mark. Students are required to keep a
notebook, which includes notes on each topic, practice questions, formative assessments and
assignments.
