Our mission
Our organization serves the Grosse
Pointes, Harper Woods and St. Clair
Shores to promote the awareness, understanding, enjoyment of and stewardship of the environment with an
emphasis on birds and their habitats.

We accomplish our mission through

our educational programs and community service projects, financial support of Seven Ponds Nature Center in
Dryden, Mich., and through our field
trips.
Grosse Pointe
Audubon is a chapter
of Michigan Audubon,
our states oldest conservation organization.
MASs goal is to study
and preserve wild
birds, plants, animals
and their habitats and
to teach the public of
their importance.

Bet You Didnt Know...

Southeastern Michigan is on a major
flyway, and migrating birds use the
shore of Lake St. Clair to help them
navigate on their trips to and from their
breeding grounds. Because of that,
more than 200 species of birds have
been documented in our area!
One other thing you probably didnt
know: Grosse Pointe Audubon has
nearly 100 members!
