If you know someone who is interested in learning more about the

Catholic faith, please let them know that classes will be starting this
Thursday at 7PM in the meeting room in the parish hall. If you
yourself would like to 'refresh' your faith as a Catholic, please come and
participate in the discussions that will be lifegiving to your faith.
Maybe it is because we have had a 'wetter' spring, you probably have
noticed the number of mushrooms that are popping up all around us.
From a distance some of them look the same but when you get closer
you notice that there are slight variations in size and shape of each one
of them. I wish I knew which mushrooms I could pick and eat; guess I
will have to stay with the ones that come from the store.
If you look around the church you can see all the people who come
to live their faith. We too have all kinds of shapes and sizes and in a
different way our spiritual selves are also different because each of us is
on a different spiritual journey through life. Whether we are in the
church to offer praise to God or plead our cause for some need we have
or even headed for the confessional, we continue on our journey. The
classes that we are having to learn about what we believe are to help us
on our journey, to keep us 'up to date' on how Christ is being present to
our world today.

PRAYERS FOR OUR PARISHIONERS

Please pray for parishioners Gary Dowling, Marjorie Giefer,

Herman Masser, Rosemary OToole, Tom Weston, and Judy
Widner who are ill or in need of prayers. Also please pray for
the repose of the soul of longtime parishioner Robert V.
Doc Haderlein and for his family. Dr. Haderlein was part of
the committee that worked to build our current church and
was a vital and influential part of our parish for decades. May
his soul, and all the souls of the faithful departed, through the
mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.

I encourage participation because 'convert

classes' are not just the passing of information from
one to another about what we believe, these classes
are a way to share our faith with those who want to
become part of our faith family. Come and share
your faith.
