Quantec Force bits deliver an unmatched rate of

We designed a PDC bit that maintains stability and
drilling efficiency throughout the run. Our goal was to
manufacture a PDC bit that would set new performance
standards, whether you were drilling soft shales or
highly abrasive sandstone.

We created two application-specific cutters that are

field-proven to be six times more wear resistant than
previous PDC bits. One cutter is widely considered the
most abrasive-resistant cutter in the industry, while
the other is a general-purpose cutter for severe drilling
applications, and combines the ideal balance of abrasion
and impact resistance.

Performance drilling
You can drill farther and faster, because the cutters
retain their initial, sharp-edge geometry, so the bit
lasts longer. With our SmoothCut depth-of-cut control
technology, you increase the amount of footage you
drill and improve your ROP.
Your penetration rates and the total footage drilled
increase, because the Quantec Force bit stays on target.
All the cutters on the Quantec Force bit engage the
formation evenly and consistently to eliminate bit whirl.

In the Williston Basin of North Dakota,

Quantec Force bits were used to drill
the 8-in. vertical section to KOP in
one run. This was faster than any other
offset within a 15-mile (24-km) radius,
delivering 8.8% higher ROP while drilling
19.1% farther. Compared to the average
offset, Quantec Force bits saved the
operator $19,326.

In the Barnett Shale of North Texas,

Quantec Force bits were able to help an
operator handle the challenging Atoka
Sand and Bend Conglomerate intervals
with maximum performance. In one
application, Baker Hughes drilled to (KOP)
at 1,873 ft (571 m) at 47 ft/hr (14 m/h),
saving the operator 35 hours of drill time
and $58,000 in associated costs.

Our design puts the right amount of

diamonds at the right place on the bit.
You get the hydraulic and mechanical
efficiency of a low blade-count PDC,
while retaining the durability of a high
blade-count PDC. This translates into
higher ROP in softer intervals and
