INTRODUCTION
During travelling, charging of mobile phone is a big problem as power supply source is not generally
accessible. Traveling Chargers for Mobile Phones, iPods and MP3 players are available but they are
expensive and need separate models for charging at home and in the car. So, a mobile charger using
wind is proposed. In the proposed work, wind energy is used to get 6 V with the help of generator.
The proposed charger will solve the problem of mobile charging during traveling, power cut and
non-availability of power at remote areas.
In this project we create a device named as Portable air charger PAC this device can be easily used
in any vehicle like train or bus to charge devices like mobile portable audio player iPod etc. This
device can stick on any ferromagnetic surface usually used to create the body of buses and train
bogie by means of tiny neodymium magnets and can give juice to your devices.

PROBLEM IDENTIFICATION
Train bogies in India there is a lack of charging ports and almost Every middle class person own a
smartphone and one thing we all know about smartphones that they need a lot of juice to work or
Continuous Charging This is a very common problem which can be solved by converting wind energy
to electrical energy via means of PAC

OBJECTIVE
Here our objective is to charge a smartphone of a user by converting the wind energy generated by
the relative motion of wind and vehicle using a small wind turbine we also have to Ensure the safety
of the equipment from the weather and this product get mass produced then it should be in the
reasonable price range for middle class Indian Consumer

MATERIAL AND FABRICATING PROCEDURES

1) Dynamo
A dynamo is an electrical generator that produces direct current with the use of a commutator. The
word dynamo (from the Greek word dynamics; meaning power) was originally another replacement
for the word generator.
A small electrical generator built into the hub of a bicycle wheel to power lights is called a hub
dynamo, although these are invariably AC devices and are actually magnetos.
In the proposed work, dynamo generates different voltage in different rotation as shown in Table

2) Coil Wire
We are using 24 gauge 90% pure copper wire for making calls and also neodymium magnets of
dimensions 2 mm x 6 mm x 4 mm and also we are using some other electronic peripherals for
electronic circuitry

3) Voltage Regulator IC
Member of 78xx series of fixed linear voltage regulator ICs are used to maintain the output voltage
at a constant value. The xx in 78xx indicates the fixed output voltage. 7805 provides +5V regulated
power supply. Capacitor of suitable values can be connected at input and output pins depending
upon the respective voltage levels [3]. Pin description is shown in Table.

4) Diode
A diode is a two-terminal electronic component with asymmetric conductance which means it has
low (ideally zero) resistance to current flow in one direction, and high (ideally infinite) resistance in
the other

5) Resistor
The electrical resistance of electrical Conductor is the opposition to the passage of an electrical
current through that conductor. An object of uniform cross section has a resistance proportional to
its Resistivity and length and inversely proportional to its cross-sectional area all materials show
some registers except for superconductors which have a resistance of zero.

6) LED
LED stand for light emitting diodes LEDs allow the current flow in one direction.

7) Charge controller
Charge controller limits the rate at which electric current is add to or down from electric batteries. It
prevents overcharging may protect against overvoltage which can reduce battery performance.

8) Body
For creating The body of PAC we are using mixture of polycarbonate plastic from old and used CD
and DVD discs abs plastic this mixture known as PC/ABS plastic which is very hard and durable for
shaping the body, we are using conventional moulding processes which can be interchanged by
injection moulding in mass production

9) Wire
We are using a wire nearly 1-metre-long with USB 2.0 port and the other end is connected to
secretary in the PAC to supply the power.

there is also a handle associated with a body of wind turbine which supports its great on the surface
of the vehicle this handle also consists a neodymium magnet the district on the vehicles
ferromagnetic surface

WORKING

Diagram of complete project

We are charging mobile by connecting them to a wind-powered generator, consisting of fan blades.
For using it we just have to stick it on the outer body of the vehicle we're relying on the motion of
wind. In the simplest terms, the blades of the fans capture kinetic energy, or the energy of motion,
from the movement of the wind. When the blades rotate the neodymium magnets, it generates a
fluctuating magnetic field which causes EMF induced in the course in the body of PAC this generated
EMF is alternative in nature so we use bridge rectifier ND Filter capacitor to convert it into pulsating
DC which is suitable for devices to get charged
