Stewardship of Talent

(Greetings)
Mateo 25: 14 30
(Prayer)
In the Parable we read, the master entrusted his properties to his servants
as he leave. He gave them amounts that fit to their abilities. The 1 st man
was given P5,000 the other had P2,000 and the last had P1,000.
The master represents our Lord in this parable. From the creation He gave
us what He knew was best for us. He gave us this life and the responsibility
for it. This parable describes the kinds of people existing in this world, how
do people value what God has given to him.
The first man and the second was granted with P5,000 and P2,000
respectively. As we all observed they are the ones with the larger amount
compared to the third one. When the master had returned they give back
the amount given to them and also do give what they earned out of
investing it in trading.
The master was so glad and felt so proud with his two servants. But he was
so disappointed with the other on who just buried the amount given to him
and just wait for the return of his master.
The third servant had the fear to invest the money because he is thinking
the failure. Just like our talents, on our own we know that we have talents
but since we are afraid about criticisms, rejections, judgments or comments
from the others so we refuse to do so. Here is the acronym of the word fear
that will give us the effect of having fear.
F Failure
I do believe that each of us once dream that one of this days you will stood
here and deliver the message of the Lord, there some dreamed to be a part
of the choir or the praise and worship team but Fear hinders us to work for

those dreams and in return we fail to do what is for the Lord we do not
simply fail for ourselves but we fail to do our part as servants of God.
E Evil occupies us
When we fear we actually let the evil lead us, because what the evil wants is
for us to be drown in fear. If the evil occupies us, chances of being apart
from the Lord became larger. Because the influences of evil can easily attract
us and being a good steward of the Lord became an impossible thing for us
to do
A Anger to self
You became angry to yourself because you know that you are not supposed
to be like that. You are seeking for an answer from yourself why did you
become like that. You also then feel sorry for yourself and that causes your
lack of confidence.
R Remain stagnant
Since you dont have enough confidence you remain stagnant you become
unprogressive. The faith you have that should be develop remain the same
and worse may vanish if we keep ourselves away from the Lord.
But actually, we have nothing to be afraid of because what talents we offer
to the Lord is not being measured through how good it was executed instead
the Lord is looking in the heart. He is more after the commitment and
willingness of ours.
In the praise and worship team, Yes, we do sing and

play instruments

regularly ever Sunday but not all Sundays were the same, even though were
singing the same music the message of such song may change every
Sunday as it arrive into our ears.
There are also misconceptions of ours about what talent really means? How
do we define talent?
In our own perspective we define talent as our skills in singing, dancing,
acting, or when a person can do extraordinary things that only few can do

the same. And in fact those who can do combination of these are we so
called talented.
Some misconception of ours about talent is that we relate talent to arts,
because most of what we considered as talent were interrelated with arts
either performing arts, or visual arts.
But actually, talent is as simply as our capability of doing such thing in a
manner that different from the others. It is a simply as we can walk and
others cannot. We can talk, others cannot.
Offering our talent is not just about singing, dancing or whatsoever. Your
mere presence is a talent but then we should not be contented of sitting
there seek for your chance to lead as the church praises his Lord.
