At the jetty platform spillage and slops from the marine connecting hoses will be
collected into a tank with a deserved capacity. The spilled oil shall be transferred to
the sump pit provided on the platform slab from where it shall be pumped into the
slop tank of 2.0 cum capacity. The oil from tank will be pumped out from time to
time to onshore terminal for treatment. The process flow diagram for the same is
shown in Drawing 0-3568-P&ID-02.
Pipelines:
1.1
The jetty and the cross-country pipelines are to be cleaned and inspected from time
to time as per OISD requirements. Pipeline scale, muck and slops generated during
this cleaning operation will be handled and treated at the COT.

Operation Philosophy
The spill generated at sources shall be drained into the slop sump pit as created on the
platform. A sump pump (P-01) of adequate capacity shall be paced inside the sump which
shall transfer the collected spill into the slope tank as shown in referred drawing.
Another pump (P-02) which shall be installed near to the slope tank shall take the spill from
the slop tank sans transfer the same to the onshore treatment plant. The respective P&ID
for the same is shown in drawing no. 0-3568-P&ID-02.
For flushing & cleaning of the residuals for the respective oil pipelines, a 50 NB taping shall
be taken which shall be connected to the inlet of the pump P-02 with the help of the shutoff valves. The piping network shall be connected in such a way that the required process
can be performed i.e. transferring of spill either form pit to slop tank or tank to onshore
treatment plant or directly from any of the oil pipe to the treatment plant can be done.
