Ideal to enhance coverage on farms, lodges and businesses that are in primarily rural GSM 900
Network footprint.

Has the capability to give coverage to a whole house ( up to 4000m² or 30-37 met radius with one indoor
antenna )

With multiple antennas, coverage of a larger and more complexed nature can be given to e.g.: factories,
basements, parkades, multi-story buildings and multi offices with the use of a single cell extender.

An effective and cost efficient unit offering coverage from medium to large areas in suburban and rural
areas.

Antennas
GSM900 or multiband antennas may be used with the SB900 cell extender.

Suburban
Outdoor (donor) antenna
Always use only 3-5dBi Omni directional antenna for outdoor uplink as multiple BTS are in proximity. Height of the out-
door uplink antenna is to be no less than 5 meters above the highest indoor antenna .
Indoor (client side ) antenna
A 3-5dBi indoor Omni or 8dBi patch antenna can be used to direct or penetrate a potential coverage aria. A splitter (2 or 4
way) can be used for multiple indoor coverage of a multiple roomed area like an office block.

Rural (Rural is determined as at least 16 kilometres from the closest BTS and with very few neighbours)
A 5 dBi omni is recommended for any distance below 16km and where more than one BTS is available to the site.
Longer distances from BTS antennas are recommended as guideline:
• A 9dBi patch for use where signal is
• a 11dBi yagi for 16-25km – not directed directly at the BTS but rather ten to twelve position.
• a 15dBi yagi for 25-35km
• a 17dBi yagi for 35-45km

A 9dBi Patch is used for distance of 3—5dBi Omni directional antenna for outdoor uplink as multiple BTS are in proximity.
A 3-5dBi indoor Omni or 8dBi patch antenna can be used to direct or penetrate a potential coverage aria. A splitter (2 or 4
way) can be used for multiple coverage of a multiple roomed area like offices

Cables
All cables used are LMR400, which is a high quality low loss cable. It is a rigid cable, 10.29mm in diameter making it not
the easiest cable to work with, but the end results are worth the extra trouble.
Available in, 10m,15m,20m.25m,30m,40m and 50m lengths terminated with N/Type male to make installation so much eas-
ier.
