The SEL-3620 Ethernet Security Gateway is interoperable with Cisco routers and OPSAID-compliant
devices. The SEL-3620 installs quickly and operates with an intuitive, menu-driven web interface.
Site-to-site Ethernet communications are protected with an IPsec VPN, and private networks are
secured with a stateful firewall, all in a design that can survive harsh environments. The SEL-3620
supports up to 16 VPN connections, provides up to 60,000 security event reports, and applies an
IRIG-B clock signal for precise event time-tagging.

The SEL ICON can support time-division multiplexing (TDM) and Ethernet traffic within single or
multiple ring network topologies. The ICON can eliminate man-in-the-middle attacks with AES-256
encryption when equipped with an optional cryptomodule. The ICON can also support single or
dual interconnection ties between rings, along with linear and point-to-point configurations. The
ICON separates different traffic types and executes ring network traffic switches in less than five
milliseconds if a fiber-optic line should fail.

Computing Platform

The SEL-3354 Embedded Automation Computing Platform takes Windows and Linux applications
to a new level of reliability with a no-moving-parts design and error-correcting code memory
technology. The SEL-3354 can distribute IRIG-B time signals and is equipped with 3 Ethernet
ports, 6 USB ports, and up to 16 serial ports. Rear-panel outputs contain programmable alarm
contacts, configurable for system faults, data errors, or logical and mathematical calculations.
SEL computers have over ten times the mean time between failures (MTBF) of typical industrial
computers and are ideal for high-security monitoring and control applications.

Programmable Automation Controller

SEL controllers employ fast and powerful control logic processors and communications capabilities for robust control system designs. The SEL-2440 DPAC Discrete Programmable Automation
Controller provides flexible input/output (I/O) capability for monitoring or controlling doors,
motion, proximity, traffic, temperature, humidity, light, or almost any other physical state
or condition. The DPAC can be configured within scalable, encrypted, time-synchronized SEL
networks that incorporate multiple facilities and high I/O counts.

Alarm and Annunciation

Make complex alarming simple with SELs alarm and annunciation panels, including 42 inputs,
11 outputs, programmable logic, and up to 4 communications ports supporting DNP3, Modbus,
and SEL protocols. You can simplify commissioning and troubleshooting with a built-in Sequential
Events Recorder (SER) and full software human-machine interface (HMI). Apply an SEL-3010 Event
Messenger for telephone voice call-out of critical alarm conditions.

Ethernet Switches
The SEL-2725 Ethernet Switch connects devices to a main or managed Ethernet switch, such as
the SEL-2730M Managed 24-Port Ethernet Switch, via copper connections or single- or multimode
fiber connections. The SEL-2725 installs easily, because it has no settings and will autoconfigure its copper ports for crossover cables, data speeds, or half- or full-duplex operation.
The SEL-2730M reliably supports protection, control, and automation applications and is built
specifically for environmentally harsh conditions, withstanding vibration, electrical surges, fast
transients, electrostatic discharge, and extreme temperatures. Both switches, like all SEL equipment, are backed by a ten-year, no-questions-asked warranty.

Wireless Multiport Transceivers

The SEL-3031 Serial Radio Transceiver employs spread-spectrum, frequency-hopping technology
within a license-free, 900 MHz ISM frequency band. The SEL-3031 simultaneously communicates
with three independent ports and protocols. When configured for SEL Mirrored Bits communications, the SEL-3031 is ideal for low-latency applications because it typically transfers control
commands in less than six milliseconds. The SEL-3031 is available with an optional encryption card
for 256-bit AES encryption.

The SEL-3021-1 Serial Encrypting Transceiver is a bump-in-the-wire encryption device that protects
computers and secured equipment from unauthorized access or malicious attacks. The SEL-3021-1
features a USB management port and is easily configured via a simple graphical user interface.

Interface Converters and Transceivers

The SEL-2886 EIA-232 to EIA-485 Interface Converter connects EIA-232 devices to an EIA-485 network
and operates over a wide range of data rates. The SEL-2886 is powered by either a power pin in the
data connector or through a separate power jack.
The SEL-2890 Ethernet Transceiver operates via a simple onboard web server interface, making it
compatible with common web browsers. The SEL-2890 can provide a serial point-to-point tunnel
between two devices on an Ethernet network via three user-selectable configurations.

Satellite-Synchronized Time Products

The SEL-2401 and SEL-2407 Satellite-Synchronized Clocks provide IRIG-B timing signals to SEL and
third-party devices with 100 nanosecond (average) UTC accuracy. The compact, single-output
SEL-2401 is ideally suited for confined physical spaces. The SEL-2407 includes a bright LED display
and six IRIG-B outputs. SEL clocks automatically compensate for daylight-saving time, include
alarm features, and are password-protected to maintain security.
