Fear and Fruit

Family Update
Your prayers for our kids as
they adapt back to France have
been heard! They have each had
a good start to the year here better than we anticipated, in
fact! Lucas was disappointed
last week when he didnt have
school one afternoon. They have
re-connected with friends, gotten
back into French schools and the
language, and started activities.
Please continue to pray for them:
Addi is under a heavy school
load and applying to colleges
for Zac to find solid friends
and manage time well
for Wes to build some good
relationship with other believing peers
for Lucas to re-acquire
French language skills
and for spiritual health and
growth for each of them.
Consider a Ministry Gift!

around them.
Weve been back in France for about
two months. These are just a few of
things weve seen personally and heard
from our teams around Europe. The
following is a portion of a report from
one of our teams working at an immigrant camp in Greece last week:
Spiritually, people are incredibly open. All of our people are having significant
conversations and were even before the riots. A random Somali guy stopped one of our
guys on Sunday to talk about faith. Another had a 90-minute conversation with someone
else his first day in [the refugee camp]. Naser, one of the translators injured [in the riots],
had accepted Christ earlier in the day. One of our staff said the fish are jumping into the
boat. And it reminds us of the early days in Eastern Europe when incredible numbers of
people came to Christ.
We arent yet seeing such dramatic impacts locally in France, but we are very encouraged
as Thad works with GEM teams and partners across Europe. God is working here and there
is spiritual fruit right now unlike weve seen in decades, even amidst the cultural turmoil
or perhaps due to the turmoil. We long to see these spiritual ripples turn to waves washing
across the continent. Our heart is to see ALL peoples of Europe have the chance to respond
to the Gospel. Please pray with us towards that!!
