A very good morning to all the teachers and my fellow friends.

Well ,
some of you may know me and some of you may not know me , so let me
introduce myself fi rst. I am Thong Kai Ting and Im from 3 Ceria. I am
really honoured to be given this opportunity to speak for myself. People
will be wondering why that I want to become a school prefect. Well, being
a prefect , I see it as an opportunity for me to contribute to the school .
After all , the school is where I learn , where I gain knowledge and where I
shape my character . Another reason is as one of the students in this
school , I would like to play my part and make our school the best of the
best. If I am chosen as the school prefect , I will keep my words to keep
the school at its best discipline and performance . I believe that I have the
qualities to be a school prefect. Firstly, I am responsible and reliable. No
matter when is it , I am always prepared to carry out any task assigned to
me . Since primary , I was a prefect when I was ten years old till last
year . It was indeed the best part of my life . Hence , being a prefect for
so many years , I know what it takes to be a good role model to everyone .
When it comes to time management , I will defi nitely do my best to divide
my time equally for studies and the duties given to me . I believe that
being a prefect , its not all about making sure that the students are at
their best behavior, its also about helping them to work on solutions if
they face any obstacles in life. This is why prefects should be
approachable , nice and friendly , so that we can listen to the students
problems. If you come across any student facing anxiety or depression, its
your job to motivate and keep them back on track . I believe true
leadership is a quality many aspire to have, and only a few truly obtain,
because in order to become a leader you must fi rst learn to follow. Its not
about bossing around with your post in your tie and uniform . Being a
leader is when you gather people , make them cooperate and come up as
the best of the best. If I am chosen as the school prefect , I will always be
here for all of you if any of you have any concerns or problems .Im quite
approachable and would be happy to hear about anything thats bothering
you or any ideas or concerns you may have. If you want it to be
personally, talk to me about it and itll be safe with me . The point is that
I will be here for you .I am willing to listen , to always work hard, and
hopefully still have a good sense of humour. Vote for me if you want your
voice to be heard, your ideas to be considered and your experience in the
next two years of your schooling days to be the best it can be. Thanks for
