2 items with Fibonacci numbers

Given the first three/four terms in the Fibonacci sequence, what
is the nth term? Answer is 610
What is the similarity between the Fibonacci number and
(another specific sequence) My answer: (key word) recursive
2-3 items with Fourier Series
what is the bn given the function
Which of the following can be expressed using the fourier series
Choices (For example but these are not the ones in the exam)
a. tan^2(x)
b. .
c.
2 items that I can remember with probability
(only an example of the format of the question) A city consists of
40% greeks and 60% romans, if 50% of greeks can speak English
and 15% of romans can speak English, what is the probability
that the person you talk to can speak English?
Another question of probability about pairs of socks
Notes:
More than 50 items solved by calcutech (Differential Equations, intecal,
diffcal)
All of my sure answers (about 85) did not have a single A, from
the choices. I think the examiners are aware of calcutech and they
wanted to make it difficult for examinees to find the right answer from
the choices, The majority was C followed by B.
Electronics
The study involved in very low temperature. Answer: Cryogenics
It is a node of a circuit that is maintained at a steady potential without
being connected directly to the reference potential. Answer: Virtual
Ground
How many NOR gates are required to implement a NAND gate. Answer:
3
Given a waveform with a period of 4 ms, what is the frequency?
Answer: 250 Hz

3-5 items:
Referring to the figure, what type of circuit is shown
Common Emitter configuration
Astable multivibrator/555 timer/monostable (Im not sure which
is correct, the figure shows the internal configuration of an IC,
not the external configurations w/ capacitors, resistors, supplies,
and ground)
Which truth table shows a ___ gate (easy)
Power electronics
What is the power factor given a power elecs system
What is the rms voltage given a full wave (I used the correct
formula from the discussions in class, ended up with an answer
of 152V but the choices had 150V and 154V, I tried every other
formula and nothing had an answer close to the choices)
This came out in one of Excels take home exams
In a zener circuit with a variable supply of 15-20V, what is the
maximum series resistance that can be connected if the load current
varies from 5-20mA and the zener voltage is 6.5(?) volts?
There were a few items (about 5) from indiabix, more on digital
electronics

GEAS
2 questions with answers, Electrophiles, Neucleophiles
Theorem that involves the centroid surface area of revolution.
Answer: Pappus theorem
Theorem that involves the centroid volume of revolution. Answer:
Pappus theorem
Theorem that states.. Answer: Varignons theorem
Thermo related questions were only basic, mc-delta T.
1 question related to physics units that has an answer of 1 kg, it wasnt
in the choices BUT there was 2.2 pounds (example, what do you need
to accelerate at 1 m/s^2 to obtain 1 N of force)

3 questions associated with 1 figure. Given a pulley system with

radius .15m (I think) and a mass of 8 kg, a block of mass 5kg hangs
from it 2 meters above the ground.
What is the work done by the pulley as the block of mass hits the
ground
What is the power of the pulley
What is the velocity of the mass when it hits the ground (Answer is in
formula form/variable form) Example: square root of (mgh/(M+4m))
Other basic STATICS figures asking for Tension, Vertical and Horizontal
reaction forces, equilibrium forces.
2 questions with the same choices, what is RA ____
Choices, Public Telecommunications Act(?), PRC Modernization act
4-5 questions about RA9292
Section numbers
What is the minimum penalty? Answer: At least P100,000
5-10 questions about Economics, very basic questions: annuity, future
and present worths, and nominal rates.
Notes: GEAS was harder than math but I scored 89 in both. Again, I
didnt have an answer A in GEAS.

EST
Many items that can be solved by Shannon Limit and Shannon Hartley,
more than 5 items
How far can a man see if he stands on top of a radio tower ___ meters
tall
Majority of questions were DIGCOMM, DATACOMM, MICROWAVE,
dimensional analysis
No Modulation, sattcom and TV and standards
Sir Gab, idagdag ko lang last bago ko makalimutan haha. Sa geas may tanong about ethics na
parang what if engineer ka and employed ka sa company and iniisip mo gumawa ng bagong
company na if ever magiging competitor ka ng company kung san ka employed. I think ang
answer sir pwede naman gawin yun pero maganda iinform mo muna yung mga boss mo kunwari

sa plan mo, meron din sa choices niya parang gawin mo pero iba yung iparun mo ng company
ganun. And sa est sir may dalawang questions na yung sagot yung laters 1-3 and yung isang
sagot layers 5-7. Yung tanong sir parang which layers handle ____. Yan lang sir thank you po
