Abstract
This is a case study on nine trainees undergoing teaching practices to identify problems frequently
encountered and their causes. Data were obtained from observations of teaching practices in the classroom,
document analysis and interviews with teachers. Data were analyzed using NVIVO8 software and Fishikawa
Diagram. The study found six problems faced by the trainees . They are less skilled to evaluate learning
outcomes for each step of teaching, lack of skills to manage diversity in teaching and learning techniques, less
adept at applying thinking skills, less adept at managing set induction, less proficient in the use of teaching
aids effectively and unskilled control classrooms. These problems were caused by their own self-GPP, skills to
supervise and guide the PP and GP, learning modules and face to face interaction. The researchers suggest
that further research is based on any issues that have been disclosed in this study.
