Schnauzer

The Schnauzer was born in Germany, it is believed that is where Bavaria appeared
first in the late Middle Ages.
Schnauzers are known for their distinctive beards and long eyebrows. Usually, the
back is shaved, the leg hairs remain long and somewhat curly. Some schnauzer
need to be remove dead hair manually. It is traditional to have short tails and ears
cut to give an appearance alert, however, in several countries this practice has
been banned.
There are three types that are the giant, standard and miniature and there are five
color varieties recognized by international kennel clubs:
Salt and pepper, Black and Silver, Solid Black, Pure White and Gray and White.
The Schnauzer name is the name of the winning dog in a dog show that was
presented as a wire-haired Pinscher in Hanover in 1979.
It confirms the theory that this race is formed by intersections of three types of
dogs: the German Poodle, the Wolfspitz and wiring Pinscher hair. Of these three
races came the Standard Schnauzer, which we know today as medium Schnauzer
and although they may have some similarities this breed is not related to the
Terriers.
Originally it was a dog that was used in farm work. Among his works he was
herding sheep and control rats and other rodents.
Later, it began to be used to help law enforcement and guarding homes and
masters.

Im going to talk about the schnauzer, I chose this topic because I have one of these
dogs and because I love animals.

The average life of the miniature is 14 years, height of 30 to 35 centimeters, weigh
between 4 to 8 kilograms and is a companion dog.
The average life of the standard is 14 years, height of 44 to 49 centimeters, weight
between 13 to 20 kilograms and is a companion dog and guardian.
The average life of the giant is 12 years, height of 60 to 70 centimeters, weight
between 30 to 40 kilograms and is a excellent guard dog can be trained for defense.
In this picture we see a giant schnauzer with uncut ears and long tail, in this other
picture we can see a schnauzer with ears and tail cut and in this last picture we see a
schnauzer with long ears and tail cut.
They are friendly and affectionate, the schnauzer integrate well into family life and get
along well with children and other dogs, provided they are properly socialized and
trained. They are protective, energetic, and alert family members of any potential
danger. The schnauzer is always alert, making an excellent guard dog, though his
vigilante nature can lead to bark persistently.
And are very good companions of life.
