Identification Policy
Identification (ID) requirements are strictly enforced. If you arrive at the test center without the required ID, you will not be admitted and your test fee will be
forfeited.
The primary identification document that you are required to present at the test center must exactly match the name you used when scheduling your
appointment. This ID must also contain your name, signature and a recent, recognizable photograph.
If testing OUTSIDE your country of citizenship, YOU MUST PRESENT YOUR PASSPORT as your primary ID document. If testing within your country of
citizenship, you must present either a passport, valid drivers license, state or province ID, national ID or military ID. All documents must contain your name,
photograph and signature. For citizens of European and Schengen Zone countries, see the special identification requirements in the GRE Bulletin.

On Test Day
You must bring a valid photo identification with signature (see Identification Policy above).
Report to the test center at least 30 minutes before the appointment time. Actual starting times will depend on the time necessary for pre-administration
procedures. Plan to be at the test center approximately 5 hours.
Cell phones, PDAs, Blackberry(R) devices and other electronic devices are not permitted in the testing center.
Rescheduling or Canceling Your Appointment
You must change or cancel your test online no later than three full days prior to your appointment (not including the day of the test or the day of your request),
or your test fee will be forfeited. If you change an August or September 2011 test date to another date in August or September, you will be charged a
rescheduling fee of US$50. If you change an August or September 2011 test date to a date in October 2011 or later, you will be charged the full test fee for the
new test and will not receive a refund for your original test. If you change an October 2011 or later test date to a date in August or September 2011, you will be
charged the full test fee for the new test date and will be eligible for either a partial or full refund depending on the new test date you select.
If you cancel your test no later than three full days prior to your test date, you will receive a refund equivalent to half of your original test fee (for test dates in
October 2011 or later). Test fees for August or September 2011 test dates are non-refundable.

Test Preparation Materials
Registrants in the U.S., Puerto Rico and Canada are advised to download the free POWERPREP(R) II software available at
www.ets.org/gre/revised_general/prepare to prepare for the computer-based GRE revised General Test. If you do not have Internet access and would like a
copy of POWERPREP II software mailed to you, contact GRE Services at 1-609-771-7670 or 1-866-473-4373 .
The free POWERPREP II software will be sent to all registrants outside the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Canada who register to test more than two weeks in
advance of their test date. Those who register less than two weeks in advance of their test date are advised to download the free POWERPREP II software at
www.ets.org/gre/general/prepare to prepare for the computer-based GRE revised General Test.
Typically it takes up to four weeks to receive the material after you make your test appointment. Failure to receive the test preparation materials does not

FREE GRE Search Service
The GRE Search Service matches prospective graduate students with participating graduate schools and fellowship sponsors. If you match the recruitment
profile of a participating institution, you may be sent information about graduate programs, admission requirements, financial aid opportunities, fellowships and
other graduate education opportunities. You will be given the option to be included in the Search Service on the day of your test, or you may register at any
