IEEE Region 10 Blog Tweet and Video Competition 2013

Dear IEEE Asia-Pacific Student Members, Volunteers,

Once again this year, IEEE Asia-Pacific (R10) Student Activities Committee has
taken the initiative to organise IEEE Region 10 Blog, Tweet and Video Competition
as part of its activities. A participant can submit his/her entry as a blog, video or
a tweet and winners will be decided according to predefined rules.

Contest Objective:
Engage and Encourage IEEE members to share their personal experience/story
with IEEE and how it helped him/her in their career and life. The entries will
highlight the importance of having IEEE membership and impacts on individuals
life. It will also motivate junior IEEE volunteers and inspire non-members to join
IEEE.

Eligibility & Procedure:

Participant has to compete individually. Individual must be a standing IEEE
student member or a graduate student member in Region 10 at the time their
entry is submitted.
1. Contestant should be a standing IEEE Student member or a Graduate
Student member.
2. An individual can submit only one entry per category.
3. Visit http://region10sac.fluidreview.com to submit an entry for Blog, Tweet
or Video Contest
a. You are required to Sign Up using one of the available option.
4. If it is a blog, then submit the article in Word format OR submit a link.
5. If it is a video, then upload the video on youtube and submit a link.
6. If it is a Tweet, then Tweet about it and submit the requested information
on above link.

Judging Criteria:
All the submitted posts will be pre-screened by the committee to ensure
compliance with the official rules. Subsequently the posts will be judged to
determine the winner

Contest Prize:

Winner of the Video Competition: $400

Runner up of the Video Competition: $300

Winner of the Blog competition: $400

Runner up of the Blog competition: $200

Winner of Tweet Competition: $300

Runner up of the Tweet Competition: $200

Disclaimer:
Please note that,

IEEE Region 10 SAC reserves the right to accept or to reject any or all
submissions that do not meet the requirements for participation and/or
competition.
The decision of the IEEE R10 Blog Tweet and Video competition judging
committee will be final and no appeal against the decision will be
considered.
By participating in the contest, participants agree to abide by the
rules and conditions as established above.
In case of any conflicts, the decision by IEEE R10 SAC committee shall be
considered as final.
IEEE reserves the right to use the submitted content. By submission, the
contestant also allows the IEEE the right to use the content.
