HOW? PROGRAM APPROACH

The two primary components of the program are the weekly leader sessions and the
community and school-wide events. 123Entalik provides a safe space for youth to meet
twice a week where they participate in organized play activities run by youth leaders,
supported by coaches. Over six months program coaches, youth leaders, and teams will
also organize community and school-wide events sharing their new skills. Community and
school events will receive small grants to support implementation.

WHAT? PROGRAM THEMES

Each week teams will be introduced to a new theme. Twice each week teams will discuss
the theme and learn more about.
WEEK 1: IDENTITY: WHO AM I?
Identity is who you are, the way you think about
yourself, the way you are viewed by the world and
the characteristics that define you.
Our identity is made up of so many things, where
we live, what we eat, our family, our beliefs, our
non-beliefs, what we look like, the clothes we wear.
All of these things are tied to our identity its about
who we are and who we want to be. Our personal
identity is something that is unique to each of us
and what we present to others.

WEEK 2: INCLUSION: INCLUDING ALL

Inclusive is something that is open to everyone, not
limited to certain people.
As part of the team we will work to create an
inclusive environments that welcomes and supports
all team members of varying abilities, backgrounds,
experiences, and interests. This means having an
open mind to bring people together regardless of
their differences and their differing identities.

WEEK 3: TEAMWORK
Teamwork is the work or activity of a number of
persons acting together. A team is a group of
people who work together.
As part of the program we will learn how to work
together, how to play different roles on the team
and how to appreciate our team members skills,
ideas and identities.

WEEK 4: GOAL SETTING: WHAT IS MY GOAL?

A goal is something that a persons wants for the
future an aim or desired result.
Our goals come from our family, from ourselves.
Goals are something that we want to achieve. In
order to reach out goals we need a plan, and we
often need the help of other people to reach our
goals.
Throughout the program we will set goals and
check with each other to see if we are reaching
those goals. It will be up to you to help others
around you reach their goals as well.
WEEK 5: RELATIONSHIPS: WHAT CONNECT US?
The program will help us develop important and
supportive connections between coaches, youth
leaders and youth team members. These connections
can look differently between different groups but the
relationships that we have with our friends, family and
teachers are important to our growth, our happiness,
how we meet the goals we have set for ourselves and
more. Learning how to manage and develop
relationships with people is very important.
In 321Move the program works to develop positive
relationships that create a connection between people
and peers where all groups trust and support one
another.
WEEK 6: RESPONSIBILITY
A responsibility is a duty or task that you are
required or expected to do. We also have
responsibility to support our society that we live in
and the people around us this is called social
responsibility.
In this program you will design and implement
projects that are aimed at supporting your
community, your school and your peers. You will
demonstrate and practice social responsibility.

WEEK 7: LEADERSHIP
The definition of leadership is the process of
influencing which maximizes the efforts of others
toward the achievement of a goal. A leader is defined
as a person who has influence or authority.
In this program you will all play leadership roles in
different ways, and learn what kind of leadership style
that you use. We have different approaches to how
we lead some people organize information, some
people organize people others are public speakers.
WEEK 8: COMMUNICATION
Communication is the way that we talk to each other,
listen to each other and understand each other. To
communicate with someone means to give
information about something to someone by
speaking, writing, moving your hands, etc. it can also
mean to get someone to understand your thoughts or
feelings.
In this program we will learn how to communicate with
one another, with administrators, with youth leaders,
coaches and the people around us.
WEEK 9: RESILIENCE
Resilience is the ability to become strong, healthy or
successful after something bad happens. It can mean
when something really bad happens in your life or
even when something small happens. Resilience is
how you respond and are able to come back and
move forward with your life, your work, your school,
your day, whatever obstacle you faced.

WEEK 10: STORYTELLING

The last week of the program is dedicated to hearing
the stories of participants and what they have learned
throughout the year. Which themes are the most
important, which activities they enjoyed most.

Each week coaches will meet with their youth leaders ahead of the weekly sessions to
prepare. They will reflect on the previous week, prepare for the coming week and prepare
anything needed for 321Events.
Then each youth leader will lead two sessions during the week with a team of youth,
approximately 25 youth. One coach will support the session.
