1. Write the balance Equations for the following reactions:


a. Reaction between sulphur dioxide and oxygen to form sulphur trioxide.
b. Neutralisation reaction between potassium hydroxide and sulphuric acid
to form potassium sulphate and water.
c. Neutralisation reaction between potassium hydroxide and nitric acid to
form potassium nitrate and water.
d. Burning of ethane in air to form carbon dioxide and water.
e. Displacement reaction between zinc metal and copper sulphate solution
to form copper metal and zinc sulphate salt.
f. Decomposition of zinc carbonate to zinc oxide and carbon dioxide gas
when heated.
g. Reduction of solid lead(IV) oxide by hydrogen gas to form lead metal
and water.
h. Iron metal reacts with excess hydrochloric acid to produce iron
(II)chloride and hydrogen gas.
i. Zinc phosphide can be prepared by reacting excess zinc powder with
phosphorus.
j. When aqueous lead(II)nitrate solution is added to potassium iodide
solution, a yellow lead(II)iodide and potassium nitrate is formed.
