This course includes over 1 hour of detailed demo
videos and 4.5 hours of progressively challenging
hands-on exercises.
The time allotted to exercises is very aggressive

EXERCISE
NOTE: This procedure is optional but necessary if you have NOT completed the Scroll List Report from
exercise 2.
You need to have the Scroll List Report from Exercise 2 completed before you begin the exercise in module
3. If you do not have the Scroll List Report completed, use the following procedure to quickly create the
Scroll List Report from the XML of that report before beginning exercise 3. Then proceed to exercise 3.
1. Using the steps outlined in Exercise 1, Task 2, steps 1-8, open a new blank report in Report Studio using
Storage and Storage Pool package.
2. Once you have a new blank report opened, navigate to CourseFiles folder on the desktop.
3. Navigate to subfolder called ReportStudioClass-LabReports XML
4. Open ScrollListReport.txt in Notepad. (note NO spaces in this file name)
5. Press Ctrl+A to select all.
6. Press Ctrl+C to copy the selection to the clipboard.
7. In Report Studio, in the menu bar, select Tools > Open Report from Clipboard. The report populates
Report Studio.
8. Save the imported report as Scroll List Report as follows:

In the menu bar, select File > Save As.

In the Save As dialog box, in the Save in list, select Storage and Storage Pool Capacity >
CustomerReports.
In the Name field, enter Scroll List Report.
Click Save.
9. Run the saved report to validate that it works.
