The account settings page can be used to edit your contact information and profile picture.
You can also use this page to delete/add subjects that you wish to teach in by taking you to the tests.
You can update your payment information from the account setting tab.
Additionally you can enter your educational information in from this tab.

Payment Details
Make sure you enter in your Payment details by clicking on Account settings once in the Expert Portal.
Use this page to check how many credits and dollars youve earned for the week.
Payments are processed on the next business day following the 1st and 15th of every month.
Experts can make up to a dollar in under 10 minutes!
If you refer a friend and they become an expert, you are entitled to a bonus!

Your payment channel depends on what country you are based out of
Your options for payment are either Upwork (Odesk) or PayPal. In case you are not located in a PayPal friendly country you must create
an Upwork account.
Below is a list of PayPal friendly countries:

Performance
Performance Details
This page can be used to track the number of answers that you have submitted
This page will tell you your average star rating out of 5 by the students for the answers that you have submitted.
This page also gives you your average claim time/average answer time and overall rank score.
You will be able to view a daily breakdown of the numbers. You will also be able to view a subject wise breakdown.
This page is extremely important as your rank score affects your Tier, which affects your your payment grade.

Training FAQ Details
In this area you will be able to train yourself better on navigating around the expert portal.
Most importantly, through this section you will be able to study the correct explanation format required by all of our experts in the
portal.
Be sure to study the Skip & Flag training documents very carefully because they will play a big part in keeping your rank score up, and
keeping the GotIt universe free from unwanted spam.
Through this section you can also report any bugs that you might spot on your system or on our portal.

Wolfram Alpha

Wolfram Alpha is a great tool to help you check your answers and generate clean and clear graphs quickly. Using Wolfram Alpha will help you
compose accurate explanations quickly, allowing you to claim more questions and earn more for your time!

Latex Editor

Use the Latex editor anytime you need to type a math equation. This will help present a clear explanation to the student, which will result in a
higher Expert ranking score.
If youre not familiar with Latex and need some practice, check out the Training / FAQ section in the Expert Portal for more details!

Tiers & Ranking

Under the current system, experts are assigned 3 Tiers. Tiers are calculated based on Study Expert performances.
Expert performances are based on the following factors:
Star Rating- All students rate expert explanations from 1 to 5, 5 being the highest. The more high ratings you get the higher your rank
score.
Response Time- At GotIt! we provide quick, quality explanations to our students. Submitting explanations within ten minutes of receiving
it will help you maintain a good rank score. Explanations submitted over ten minutes will hurt your score. But remember, once you are
routed a question you must answer it even if it takes you longer.
Claim Time- Once a question is routed to you, you will have 30 seconds to claim and bid for the question. The faster you read and think
that you can answer the question, the faster you claim; the better your rank score.
Skipping Question- If you are unable to answer a question, you may click the Skip button and you will be routed the next question.
Skipping questions negatively affects your rank score so avoid skipping too many questions. However, if you skip and are unable to
answer it you will be penalized, and risk contract termination.

GotIt! Bidding System

In the Expert Portal, all experts will be paid using In-App Credits, with the value of each unit of credit equalling $0.125.

Experts will be allowed to bid a minimum of 0 credits per-question, and a maximum of 8 credits per question. Therefore, the maximum that an
expert can earn per question will be
$0.125 x 8 = $1 (same as the cost to students).
Tiers and ranking are an important part of ensuring that students are getting solutions from the highest ranked experts. Experts receive a % of
the highest attainable amount
Tier Breakdown:
Tier 3- 100% of the bid amount
Tier 2- 90% of the bid amount
Tier 3- 80% of the bid amount

Bidding System: Example

Working example: Consider two experts; Tanuj & Kevin
Tanuj & Kevin are both currently on the Portal and claim a question. They both bid 8 credits for the question. Tanuj is a rank 3.50 and Kevin is
4.50. Because Kevin has a higher rank, he will get routed the question. Kevin answers the question and receives a good ranking. At EOD his Tier
stays at 3, and he will thus earn 100% of the credits he earned that day.
Calculation 100% of 8=8
8 x 0.125=1 dollar.
Tanuj gets routed another question and bids 8 credits for the question. He is awarded the question, and receives an average ranking for that
question. His Tier remains at 2. At the end of the day he will receive 90% of his credits.
90% of 8=7.2
7.2 credits x $0.125= $0.90
