come to know God for Who He is. Pray for a lady in Bob and Gloria's
Bible study who said that even though her eye sight is getting worse, she
has the Light in her heart, so she won't have to walk in darkness. Pray
for her to clearly state her belief in Jesus in front of others.

Have you decided what to include in your Operation Christmas Child

shoebox? A special WOW toy or doll, with additional items of
hygiene, school supplies, and/or clothing, is very exciting to a needy
child, and shopping is fun, as you imagine his/her smile on opening
the box. Samaritans Purse estimates that each shoebox translates
to 8 or 10 people hearing the Gospel message. That means our 150
boxes will allow for over 1200 people to hear. And when children
complete the 12 weeks of discipleship lessons, they have learned to
share their new faith in their communities. What an opportunity to
obey the Great Commission. Information on the ministry and gift
suggestions for the various age groups can be found
at www.operationchristmaschild.com.

OCTOBER IS "WORLD HUNGER" MONTH

During the month of October, our church will participate in helping
fight hunger around the world. There will be "bread" banks and rice
bowls in both the front and back foyers. These are available for you
to take home during October and place your change in them. They
are to be returned to the church office on the last Sunday of
October. There are millions of adults and children who go to bed
hungry every night. This is an opportunity to help feed these
people. Every penny given to "World Hunger" goes to help feed
those who are hungry. Jesus said that every time we help someone
else, we are helping Him. Let's do what we can to help fight hunger
in the world.

Childrens Christmas Program Rehearsal October 30!

All rehearsals will be held at 5-6 pm on Sundays until the
performance on December 11. If your child is interested in
participating, please sign up in the rear (south) foyer by Sunday,
October 16.
He has showed you, O man, what is good. And what does the
Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to
walk humbly with your God.
