1

a) Write a MATLAB program to divide the given area into equal hexagons and create
clusters.
b) Locate co-channel cells with distance

A transmitter produces 100 W of power, applied to a unity gain antenna with a 900 MHz carrier
frequency. Find the received power in dBm at a free space distance for 100m, 200m, 500m, 1
km, 5 km and 10 km. Using MATLAB, plot distance Vs. received power in dbm for different
path loss exponent.

Calculate SNR due to co-channel interference for the following cases (Implement using
MATLAB).
a) Omni directional antenna with path loss exponent n=3 and cluster size N= 4,7,12
b) Consider 60 degree and 180 degree sectorization and N= 4, 7,12
c) Repeat part (a) and (b) with path loss exponent n= 4
d) Also calculate worst case SNR for all the above cases.

Implement Erlang B formula using MATLAB and plot Erlang B chart along with labels.

Implement Erlang C formula using MATLAB and plot Erlang C chart along with labels.

To study Co-channel and Adjacent Channel Interference using MATLAB Simulink Blockset.

To study Bluetooth full-duplex voice and data model using MATLAB Simulink Blockset.

Generate a Pseudo-random Noise sequence using MATLAB. Program should ask for:
i. Total number of shift registers used/Length of the sequence
ii. Generator Polynomial
iii. Initial State

To verify the following properties for the PN Sequence generated in the former experiment.
i. Balance Property
ii. Auto correlation property
iii. Run Length Property
Implement different outdoor models like Okumura Hata, Improved Hata and Walfisch Ikegami
Model using MATLAB script.

cellular communication.

ASK Transmitter and Receiver (If time Permits)

Provide speech signal and convert it into Digital signal using PCM Technique. Provide PCM
data to ASK Transmitter and receive the same at the ASK Receiver. Decode the data.
