Southwest Region: Its know for its maize cultivation and desert climate. The
natives lived in small towns whos houses were made of adobe. They were
farmers , main source was maize and turkeys.
The Great Plains and Basin Region: Mostly grasslands with a flat terrain. Although its an arid region it (the Great Plains) is drained by the Mississippi and
Missouri rivers. They were hunter-gathers whose main source of food was
buffalo meat. Theres an exception, not all tribe in the plains were huntergathers, some settled down and farmed corn, pumpkins, squash, and melons.

Pacific Coast Region

Natives were either huntergathers or farmers

Northeast Region: New Englands coast is rocky and used to have lush forest.
While the Ohio River Valley is a fertile area. The natives were a mix of huntergathers and farmers. They had a wide variety diet that included maize, salmon
beans, squash berries and small mammals.

North American Regions

Pacific Coast Region: Lush forest with a temperate climate, its known for its
heavy rainfall. They hunted for food like salmon, elk, deer, moose and whale
just to name a few. They were rich in resources like cedar and salmon. The Indians had a mixed hunter-gather and farmer lifestyle since they made permanent houses.
Gulf Coast Region: This region is mostly marshlands and coastal prairies. The
natives of this area were mostly hunter-gathers , they had seasonal migration,
they moved from the coastal shores into the inland prairies to harvest its resources .
Conclusion: The people of Louisiana are already adjusted to Gulf Coast Region
and since Houston is part of that region it would only make sense for them to
get relocated over here in Houston. The Amerindians of this region were hunter
-gathers, although these refugees are modern humans moving to George Bush
Park, some of the population can forage the area for food. Even though there
wasnt any type of farming in this region before the Spanish arrive,, the refugees can domesticate the small population of wild boars in order to turn them
in a food supply.

Northeast Region

Gulf Coast Region
