Introduction
The purpose of this assignment is to facilitate students abilities to
understand the selected topic covered in the course syllabus. The
project facilitates students to: (1) identify and formulate an inquiry
question that defines what youd like to learn, and (2) deliver the
knowledge to the respective audience via presentation.
B.
Selection of article
1. Each group (with three students in a group) will be assigned for ONE
(1) article for the report writing (5%) and for the presentation (5%).
2. The instructor will provide the article (either quantitative or
qualitative in nature) at the beginning of the semester.
3. Refer presentation timetable for an article details and presentation
schedule.
C.
Content of Report
The report must include each of the following sections:
i.
Title page
ii. Introduction
Provide brief background/description of the assigned topic for
audience understanding.
Indicate among others: why the topic is important, the issue
related to the topic,
Objective(s) of the article.
iii. Body-analysis of the main points. These include (among others):
Theoretical framework and variables considered by the
article,
Research method employed,
Data collection procedure and targeted respondents (if
applicable),
Context of study (e.g., focused country, industrial), and
The outcomes/findings of the study.
iv. Conclusion
v. References (cited articles)

Format of Report
1. Format: Typed, double spacing, Times New Roman, Font size 12,
Margin 2.5cm or 1 inch, justified.
2. Number each page excluding cover page and table of content.
3. Language: Report should be written in English.
4. The content of the report is limited to 500 words only (excluding
cover page, table of content, references, and appendices).
5. Correct
spelling,
grammar,
punctuation,
and
paragraph
construction are very important. Please check your report before
submission and edit your paper for readability.
6. Use heading and sub-heading appropriately. Number your heading
and sub-heading consistently.
7. Number and label all tables/figures (if any) accordingly.

Submission
1.
Submission of report will be in two formats:
A hard copy submission will be in class (during the respective
lecture/presentation as specified). The submission of the
assignments must be done on time and PENALTY will be
imposed on late submission.
A soft copy of the summary must be submitted to Turnitin for
plagiarism checking purpose. A final soft copy of the summary
must be submitted to UUM Online Learning.
A report with more than 25% of similarity index (as suggested by
the Turnitin) will be totally rejected. Hence, no marks will be
given to such report.
2.
Submission of the PowerPoint slides soft copy must be submitted to
UUM Online Learning TWO (2) days before the presentation, not
later than 4.00 p.m.
3.
Please use the cover page template (Appendix 1).
F.
Presentation (5%)
1. Presenter(s) should simplify the article for better audience
understanding.
2. Presenter(s) can freely ask questions and request for class
members responses/opinion on the given article.
3. Limit the presentation to 6 minutes so that ample time will be
made available for questions and answers session. Two (2)
minutes will be allocated for the question and answer session. The
presentation should focused on the main issues of the article.
