We have compiled a list of five of the very best charitable foundations based
in India today. Every single one of these grant making organisations
welcomes applications for funding in areas from education and sustainable

Access Bank Foundation
The Access Bank Foundation was founded in 2006 and only worked with 7
NGOs since then. The foundation was initially set up as a public trust and
focused more on providing quality education to economically challenged
families. In 2011, the foundation has grown its partnership up to 74 NGOs and
works on developing initiatives geared towards sustainable development,
public health, and education. It is said that the access bank foundation plans
on focusing more on the area of education by allocating 80% of its funds
towards sustainability and the remaining 20% on other philanthropic initiatives.

Concern India Foundation

The Concern India Foundation is a charitable public trust which was

The Indian Development and Relief Fund is a tax exempt 501C3 charity that
focuses on programs aimed towards childrens education, womens

empowerment, rural sustainability, disaster relief, etc. The organization is


composed of both volunteers and paid support staff. The organization works
through obtaining small donations from individuals or other NGOs to support
their programs. Donations can be made to the charity in different ways
including state campaigns, small grants, individual donations, organization of
fundraising events, and corporate donations.

Reliance Foundation
The Reliance Foundation is an organization that focuses on 5 key objectives
that makes India grow stronger as a nation. The 5 key pillars include, health,

Charitable Aid Foundation India
The Charitable Aid Foundation in India is promotes management support to
corporates and other organizations by designing investment programs that
delivers favorable results for charities. The programs promote a wide variety
of development causes pertaining to a wide variety of donor interests. The
CAF was established in the UK in 1924 as a department that promotes
efficient donating strategies. The CAF later became an independent registered
charity and has over $5 billion under management on behalf of many

day. Last year, it is said that the CAF distributed to over 45000 civil societies.
