How the life will be in Colombia in 2050

The world is constantly changing and Colombia is not the exception.
Colombia has experienced a massive migration to its cities that has
transformed what was a mostly agrarian society into one of the most
urbanized nations in Latin America. Colombia has seen increased economic
activity, access to better education and health-care systems, and accelerated
technological development. Thanks to these technological advances and
progression as a country, Colombia would reach beyond than any country in
the world.
The development of science and technology in Colombia would mainly
manifest through the contribution of its scientists to medicine and social
sciences, among other fields of knowledge. This would help the economic
growth of the country. Advances in technology will make us more empowered,
motivated and active. Hi-tech, intelligent buildings are revolutionising the
urban landscape. Fully synthetic humans would becoming technically
feasible.
Transportation technology in Colombia could progressing at a much slower
pace than some of the other sciences. Automotive companies will focus on
fully automated vehicles where people can punch in or speak the place
they want to go to and the vehicle will automatically take them there. This
control feature will open up huge additional markets for automotive
companies to sell to the elderly, families with kids too young to drive, and the
visually, physically, and mentally impaired. Around 2050 we will see
commercialization of the first friction-free no-moving-parts flying vehicles
which will be considered by many to be the ultimate freedom machine. Much
like the transition from analog to digital in the world of information technology,
the study of traditional mechanics and traditional aerodynamics will be
replaced with a new physics governing vehicular movement.
Better environmental quality and the prospect of universal health care hold
the promise of lifting the health landscape for all Colombians. Still, the region
lacks a cohesive strategy to address the disparities in health outcomes along
racial and socioeconomic lines. While we do think that Colombians of the
future will have better access to healthcare and will generally be healthier, we
still anticipate that health outcomes for the areas large low- and middleincome communities of color to be worse than average. Moreover, our
inadequate preparation to meet geriatric healthcare needs could prove
significant in a region where the senior ratio is expected to double by 2050. To
be successful health care will be about prevention: healthy, grown or
purchased inexpensively, fresh food available to all. School snacks/ lunches
will provide healthy choices. Health check ups are readily available at schools
and local health care facilities at no cost to all. Children are taught the
connection of fresh grown food to the family table concept.

Colombia has the resources to be one of the best countries in 2050. Today
we see that Colombia has a successfully developed infrastructure for
innovation and entrepreneurship, and has also expanded its connectivity. This
would help the successful development and evolution of Colombia against
technology, transport and lifestyle of Colombians in 2050.
