From the
Over the past few weeks I've been highlighting the Honors College's study abroad opportunities. Today, I'd like to focus on an exciting opportunity for those of you planning
to study abroad in Europe next Spring: the
Honors College's innovative one-hour online
study abroad enhancement program.
This program, which is now in its third year,
consists of a one-hour online weekly discussion course centered on European history,
politics, society, and culture. The course is
designed to make your study-abroad experience more meaningful, and to make you part
of a network of Clemson Honors students also studying in Europe. In addition, the group
will rendezvous in London for a weekend of
tours, cultural experiences, and much more.
To be eligible for this program, you must
(1) be enrolled in a Clemson-approved study
-abroad program during Spring 2017; (2) be
in good standing with the Honors College.
We will work with your study abroad provider
to confirm your eligibility for this program.

Have YOU Considered Becoming an Honors Ambassador??
The Honors College is accepting applications for current honors
students to serve as ambassadors to help with various recruiting
activities. There are two information sessions available to answer
any questions you may have:
Monday, Oct. 10
Tuesday, Oct. 11
5:00-6:00pm
Because the study-abroad enhancement program provides just one hour of additional
credit, it will not interfere with your other
responsibilities--in fact, it will enhance your
entire experience. The cost of the program -$750 -- includes most of your expenses for
the London weekend.
There will be an info session on this program
on Wednesday, October 26, from 7:008:00pm in the Honors Center Seminar Room
1, so mark your calendars!

An LSAT Prep Class will be offered by the Political Science Department during October 2016 to help students prepare for the LSAT exam. The course is taught by Prof. William Lasser, and is open to students and alumni of Clemson
University.
The cost of the course, including materials, is $125 for juniors
and seniors in the College of Business, and departments of
Political Science, Psychology, Sociology and Anthropology
($250 for all others). Full payment is due by Monday, October
17, 2016. Please note: this course will be taught only if there
is sufficient demand; if the course is not offered, students will
receive a full refund.
The LSAT prep course is designed to provide students with
basic information about the test; study skills; approaches to
the various question-types on the exam; and hints about specific exam issues. The course works best in conjunction with
the students' own intensive self-study in the month before the
exam. Students do not receive academic credit for this
course, and study materials are not provided.
