Rules and Expectations

1. Come to class, on time. Unless you are ill, you should be at
school everyday. Arrive before the bell rings to give yourself time
to get organized and take care of personal business.
2. Be prepared for school. Think ahead to be sure you bring to
class the items you will need. Get enough sleep so that you arent
tired in class and are ready to participate.

iPad Rules
1. Use the iPad for approved
activities only; never for social
media (Snapchat, etc.), games,
messaging

3. Do the assigned work. Plan ahead so you have sucient

time to complete work thoughtfully. Make good use of every
moment while in class and doing homework. The amount of
eort you put forth will directly impact your learning, grades,
confidence, and future.

2. Turn off notifications for

Snapchat/messages/any other
apps.

4. Respect yourself and others. Treat others the same way you
would want them to treat you. This includes remaining quiet
while someone else is talking. Try to understand how your actions
aect the feelings of others. I have zero tolerance for bullying.

3. During discussions, debates,

and presentations, you may
not use the iPad unless I give
you permission.

5. Demonstrate integrity. Your work should be your own and

sources that you use should be properly documented. Dont try to
cheat me. Copied or borrowed work will receive a zero and will
result in disciplinary action.

4. Close iPads whenever we

watch a video clip during
notes, when correcting
papers, or going over a test.

Classroom Procedures

5. Do not take photos or videos

in class without permission.

1. Turn your work in at the beginning of class. Sometimes

Ill have your turn it in to your periods tray and sometimes Ill
have you keep it out so that we can go over it. Either way, have it
done when the bell rings.
2. Dont wait until the last minute to print your work. If
you are late to class because youre stuck in the library, then your
work is also late. Printers break and get jammed, so plan ahead.
3. Check Canvas for missed work. If you are absent, dont ask
the stupid question, Did I miss anything? Yes, you did. Check
the announcements tab to find out what you missed and get
caught up on your own.
4. If you need to use the restroom, just go. Do not interrupt
the flow of the class or discussion to ask to go to the bathroom.
Go at appropriate times and give me a quick wave to indicate
that you are leaving the room. Only one person may leave the
room at a time.
