Etihad Rail is in line with the objective to further diversify
the UAE economy as set by the UAE Vision 2021 and Abu
Dhabi Economic Vision 2030.UAE Vision 2021 sets the key
themes for the socio-economic development of the UAE,
specifically calling for a shift to a diversified and knowledgebased economy. A national railway network to connect the
UAEs key centres of trade and population is an integral
component of this vision. Etihad Rail being one of the key
economic projects for growth and diversification.

Responsibilities Overview:
Setting up Engineering EDMS and centralized Document
Control Center for Etihad Rail. Assists with the
implementation and maintenance of the EDMS (Electronic
Data
Management
System),
provides
training,
administration, report creation and help desk function on the
EDMS.

Assignment:
o Manage and Lead day to day activities of document
control center by assigning duties and responsibilities to
document control staff.
o Support consultant & contractors on setting up their
document control center and provide guidelines and solve
issues pertaining to Information Management.
o Manage the document control staff to ensure effective
implementation of document control procedures and
process.
o Support Document Control Planning for company Site
Office and Core Team requirements for Field Document
Control processes and procedures.
o Develop and implement the best practices of internal
document review and approvals in line with the
organization Quality Management System.
o Establish Document Control Strategy, Policy and

Khalifa Port located in Taweelah, midway between Duabi and
Abu Dhabi, the deep water Khalifa Port is the first semiautomated container port in the region. It has been
constructed on a reclaimed island with an offshore area over
2.7 square kilometers and a basin of 16.5 meters depth.
Khalifa Port can accommodate the biggest ships sailing the
worlds oceans. Currently, the port serves over 20 shipping
lines, offers direct services and direct connections to more
than 52 international destinations as well as transshipment
at the worlds main hubs.

Saadiyat Island Cultural Program

Saadiyat Cultural District is set to become an internationally
renowned arts hub, featuring the Zayed National Museum,
Louvre Abu Dhabi, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi and the
Performing Arts Centre.
At the heart of the Saadiyat Cultural District is the Zayed
National Museum, the centerpiece of the island. Fittingly
elevated above the rest of the cultural district at its highest
point, the museum tells the story of the regions history and
the unification of the United Arab Emirates through the life
and person of Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, father of

Desert Islands is a sustainable, world class, eco-friendly
tourist destination based upon the late Sheikh Zayeds
original vision of a wildlife and marine sanctuary. Desert
Islands are located in the Arabian Gulf some 8Km from the
mainland of the United Arab Emirates at Jabel Dhanna, Abu
Dhabi. Desert Islands consists of four main areas, Marsa
Jabel Dhanna, Sir Bani Yas Island, Dalma Island & Discovery
Islands.
Assignment:
o Establish and maintain an appropriate document control
system and filing structure.
o Developing and/or revising document control procedures
as required by the program.
o Receives, tracks, and monitors documents using standard
document management programs to register documents,
maintain databases, and produces logs, transmittals and
other reports as required. Enters data and produces
reports using other standard office automation or
department-specific computer application. Initiates and
replies to routine correspondence related to area of
responsibility.
o Coordinates the flow of documents between project
operations, engineering disciplines, construction team, or
other department groups.
o Implements document control numbering policies and
procedures in EDMS System and provide training and

development. It is a landmark development close to the city
offering a self-contained community offering 55,000
residents. A 74 story residential and commercial skyscraper,
one of the tallest buildings in Abu Dhabi.
