Our ever dynamic Provincial Governor Gov. Hon. Jose Mari R. Zubiri Jr. Sir. .

Provincial Vice Governor Hon. Alex P. Calingasan, Sir. .Honorable Sangguniang

Panlalawigan Members, Chiefs of Office, Guests, fellow Goverment employees Good
Morning sa atoang tanan.
The Post Office status at present particularly in the field of handling and
delivery of urgent messages in terms of quantity is not as competitive as compared
to some of the existing private Couriers currently operating on the same kind of
business transactions practically in the urban areas. Due to this, unfavourable
status, Philippine Postal Corporation has ventured into other kinds of products and
services , PhilPost managed to tie-up with some Government Agencies for some
improvements. One concrete example is the upgraded version of the issuance of
the Electronic Postal ID system which started and took effect last month of
February. This process was materialized based on the desired pattern set by the
Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in order to align with their required documents
needed for processing in their Agency. The new version of Postal ID today is one
of their acceptable requirements in dealing transactions with them. Another
venture is the transporting, storage/ warehousing and delivery of bulk cargoes or
supplies of the Department of Budget and Management (DBM). At present their
main transaction is the distribution of Medical supplies to the Department of Health
(DOH) in the different parts of the Region. We are also at present engaged in the
electronic Money Transfer on selected Post Offices, of which Malaybalay and
Valencia in Bukidnon is currently in service. There is also an existing tie-up with
some service providers in some key areas like Cagayan de Oro City, Butuan City
and Iligan City Post Offices as an authorized Bayad Centers for collection of bills
payment.
The Corporation is still in search for some innovations and improvements in line
with the current business transactions that is currently being engaged in line with
the Postal business in order to help our Corporation grow and create a mark in the
market. With regards to our operations, in the year 2013 our General Fund
Collection was P2,422,248.92 while last year 2014 we earned an income of
P2,906,984.40 a slight increase amounted to P484,735.48 which is equivalent to
20.01% increase, With this increase, we still fall short of almost 10% of the 30%
increase target set to us by the Central Post Office.
One of our main concern at present in our local Post Office is manpower
shortage particularly with that of our delivery service, considering that we are also
servicing the 2 Municipalities of Cabanglasan and Lantapan and is allotted only with
5 Mail Carriers we practically can not commit a 100% satisfaction of our
constituents, sad to admit that our residents in some distant Barangays are
deprived of the quality services in our present set up.
We do only hope that those local Barangay Officials who at present
wholeheartedly extendes their assistance on us still continue the good deeds

they had started for the benefit of all. Mabuhay ug daghan kaayong salamat
kanilang tanan.
THANK YOU AND MAY GOD BLESS US ALL. SALAMAT SALAMAT
