Before you begin


Hereby taking this opportunity, we would highly appreciate your attention and
purchasing to our product and, accordingly, provide this manual as a reference to help
you properly operate the machine and easily eliminate some simple trouble. Please
read these instructions thoroughly before operating the machine, and well maintain it
for long-term use.

Attention:
1. This machine has been strictly tested and calibrated before delivery. It is not
allowed to discretionarily test or change each components of machine.
2. Kindly understand that machine design and specifications are subject to change
without notice due to technology improvement.
3. This manual is only provided with simple description for troubleshooting.
However, if machine goes wrong and you are unable to eliminate it yourself,
please consult in time with our after-sales service department by mail or fax.

II Description & specification of machine


1. Application range
This machine is ideally applied to packaging of thin powder products in size of
120~140 mesh in the application of food, chemical and pharmacy industry. For
instance: seasoning package etc.

2. Features

All the works included bag-making, measuring, filling, sealing, slitting,


counting and lot No. printing can automatically be done by this machine.

Adopt advanced microcomputer controller and step motor to control bag


length and label orientation.

This unit excels in performance stability, easy adjustment, accurate detection,


less error caused by intelligent control.

This unit is able to regulate the filling mechanism to meet different


requirements of filling agents such as granule, liquid, powder, catsup etc.

Additional accessory can complete the functions embodied date printing,


vibrative filling and easy-tearing cut etc.

4. Requirement to ambient & wrapping materials

It is required the machine to be used under the ambient condition with less
powder, temperature at 10-40oC and relative humidity less than 25%.

This unit is suitable for packaging of laminated material basically made from
the substrates such as cellophane, terylene film, AL foil etc. on which are
coated inside with high-pressure compound polythene.

Wrapping material is required smooth surface and tidy appearance on the


whole, of which outer diameter is less than 320mm and inner diameter is at
76mm.

Wrapping material is printed at the edge with black mark(L:10mm X


W:5mm ) for photoelectric control, which features clear color difference and
is not allowed to printed with other characters or patterns, for the purpose to
avoid any possibly inaccurate action.

III Instruction for use


1. Preparation before use
1) Clean dirt, sundries and other things on the machine. Wash and disinfect
the parts possibly in contact with food.
2) Check the bolts everywhere at the machine and see if they are loosen or
not during the transportation. Turn the belt one circle by hand to see if
machine is blocked or not. If the above-mentioned trouble occur, please
find out the cause and eliminate it.
3) Oil the movable parts such as horizontal-seal guide lever, cam , and filling
clutch(Use 36# oil).Check if the speed reducer chamber is short of oil or
not, and find if the oil level is lower than the center line visible by the
window,
a) Plug in the power source, close the oil leakage switch inside
the electrical control chamber.

b) Set the temperature as to the horizontal-seal and


vertical-seal mold required, and raise the temperature on the
temperature control meter up to the

requirement of

materials.
2. Startup procedure
1) Start machine inching. First to turn the handle for filling clutch to the
OFF condition .If no any abnormality, start the idling of machine.
2) Regulate the stepless speed governor down to the lowest speed as to the
indication marks shown.
3) After machine stop, thread up the film as per film-threading illustration
ranged from former to vertical-seal mold and, afterwards, start jogging
the sealing device. Use your right hand to pull out the film pulling clutch,
and meanwhile utilize your left hand to feed the film into the pulling
wheel. Finally, close the pulling clutch.
4) Start on the machine to make empty bags. Pay attention to the sealing
quality.
5) Close the handle of filling, and observe if the filling time is correct or not.
6) Start commissioning. Pour less filling agent into the tank, and then start
the machine with a view to check if the package weight are well matched
up to the requirement or not.
7) As the procedure above are completed, bulk production can be started on.

4. Key points to operation


1) Operator must have to grasp the above procedure and keep it in mind
during operation. Otherwise, unskilled operator may cause trouble.
2) In production process, operator should notice whether the machine sound
and temperature are normal or not and the film and filling agent are run
out or not. Therefore, it is not allowed operator leave the machine in
production, for the purpose to stop the machine and check it right away
whenever trouble is caused.
3) Please note down the original size and location before you regulate each
components and, thus, machine can go back to the original condition
while adjustment fails.
4) Adaptability of machine is required 100-150 hour running at the lowest
speed.
5) It is forbidden to place tools and other matters on the machine, to avoid
their falling into molds that would be badly damaged.
6) While machine is paused, it is required inching of machine to disconnect
the sealing mold.
7) After long-time running, it is required using special copper brush to clean
the surface of molds, ensuring perfect sealing quality.
8) It is strictly forbidden any matters or hands approaching to the movable
part in course of machine running.
9) Regularly check if each fastening pieces are loosen and disconnected or
not .
10) Speed reducer chamber should be replaced once with new machine oil
(36#) every 3 month. Each time lubricating have to base on the center
line of oil level.
5. Key points to transportation & installation
1) Transportation of machine

Transportation of machine in the warehouse or workshop is carried out by the


four truckles mounted on the foot of machine, so it is required flat ground to
avoid any damage to the truckles.
During long-distance transportation, machine should be packed with fastened
and reliable case, and fixed in the bottom board of the case by four
supporting rails. Pay attention to the movable parts of machine and make
them fastened. The case should be shown with sign or word saying No
inversion , No impact and instruction sign for lifting.
2) Installation
a) Well connect the ground lead to prevent the operator from
the electric shock.
b) Machine must be rested on the place that is kept away from
humidity and high-voltage power source.
c) Speed adjustment should be executed in the condition of
machine running driven by motors.
d) Machine should be mounted on the place that is far away
from direct sunshine.
e) Regularly clean and lubricate the machine.
f)

Every 3 month replace once the machine oil for the speed
reducer.

4.1 Description of panel

1. It is the temperature control of vertical sealing. It can adjust the high or low of
vertical sealing and subject to the fusing point of packing film.
2. It is the temperature control of horizontal sealing. It can adjust the high or low
of horizontal sealing and subject to the fusing point of packing film.
3. It is computer touch screen. You can set the basic parameter of the machine.
4. Jog/Emergency stop

It means you jog the step motor and the step motor draw the film 1 length
every time.
5. Start/Stop
It means you click it and then the machine is on the working condition.
6. Power switch
When the machine is working, you click it, the machine will stop.
4.2 How to use the Temperature controller

4.2.1 You can set the temperature according to different packing film. The
step is as belows:
A. Click

so that the digital on the SV line will bicker;

If there is exits a little difference between PV temperature and SV

temperature, you can use self-adjusting method to reset the heating data. The
methods is as followings:

Firstly, set the SV temperature which is 10 little higher than

sealing temperature of packing film.

for 5 seconds so that turn the PV digital into PV letter.

After that, press consecutively

so that SV shows 0000.

After that, exit selfadjusting setting. At this time, AT indicator light must be
bicker which mean that the inner temperature controller are starting to
calculating heating data. At this time, you cant power-off or press any key on
the temperature controller. Otherwise, the machine should reset. After AT
light turn off, it means selfadjusting is finished. After that, the controller will
controll automaticlly the temperature according to calculated inner heating data.

9. Muti-funcutin crystal display in English. The display can show the
machine factorys name and telphone for 3 seconds when the machine is start. It
can show packing weight, length, weight and conditon on working conditon.
The operation manual of control panel
1. Start/stop: After the machine connected with power, press start/stop button,
the system is on working conditon. At the same time, the main motor is begin to
operate. The crystal display shows Start. Repress start/stop button, the system
will stop. The speed in crystal display will show Stop.
2. Photocell switch: It is the shortcut key of photocell switch(You also can
control photocell eye on the display.), there is photocell switch on the status line
of display. If it shows Photocell:OFF, press photocell button to start so that it
shows Photocell:ON. If repress the button, close the switch.
3. Jog button for main motor: Press this button so that the main motor is operate,
but the system isnt on work condition. Loosen the button, the motor stop.
The below buttons is Confirmation button(menu), ,, exit button". They are
control the menu on the display so that it can set many functions. We are give a
brief introduction here and offer more specific details in the others part.
4. Confirmation (menu) button: It has the function of function selection, enter
and confirmation. For example, press the button so that the system enter the
main menu, you can press or so that the cursor will move any of choice.
And then repress the button so that enter the function selected. After adjusted,
you can press "Exit", the system will save the data required.
5. button:On each menu, it can let the cursor upper a line. On digital state,
press it and then the accordingly digital will increase 1. On switch stage, it
become "ON" or "OFF".
(On "STOP" stage, press it and then the system will enter "photomark location"
menu.)

6. button: On each menu, it can let the cursor down a line. On digital state,
press it and then the accordingly digital will decrease 1. On switch stage, it
become "ON" or "OFF".
(On "STOP" stage, press it and then the system will enter "auxiliary switch"
menu.)
7. Exit button: It is function of return previous page and quit. (On "STOP" stage,
press the button for 2 seconds so that the step motor of bag making will jog to
operate. If press it and hold it down, it means jog continuously to operate.)
Note: The system also can enter the main menu so that adjust the data you
request when operation. The above adjusted data will automatically memory
after closed the machine, it will invoke when next operation.

length. If there exits color mark on the packing film, you can neglect the
SECOND step. Press "Start" button, the system will test the packing film
automatically and adjust the working speed of step motor.(You can get more

2.4 You can adjust the thousand setting of bag length requested by or .
For example, 1200mm, you can set 1 on the thousand setting. If the length is
below 1000mm, the thousand setting can be 0.
2.5 Repress Menu button, the display will enter hundred setting of length
setting. The similar facility would be extended to hundred one, tens digit and
digit. The length in above drawing is 150mm. If the length is 185mm, you shoud
setting as 0185. After set the length, please Please press Exit to return Data

You can adjust the filling capacity by pressing or . The range has
16 gears, from 0-F. However, the packing film is different so that the top gear is
different. If the capacity is higher, the system will fall down the suitable gear
automatically. Please press Exit to return Data setting for bag making.
2.7 Press so that the cursor will move to Photocell setting. Press Menu
so that enter into Photocell switch setting. The display will show:

You can change the photocell eye ON or OFF by pressing or
.(The same function of Photocell setting on the control panel.) (Note: It

You can setting the slitting quantity by pressing or . After that, press

2.83 Slitting delay has the function of adjustment the cutting time of cutter.
2.9 You can move the cursor to Initial setting by pressing .(The function
is only for machine factory itself.)

3. Press Start, the system will start to operate. The capacity line on the
display will show Start. The display will change START into current
packing capacity after packed 2 bags. You can know the capacity/minute for the
machine.
4. When the machine change the length, the cutter might not cut on the color
mark, you can enter Photocell location by pressing . And then adjust the
cutter location by pressing so that the cutter is on the photocell exactly.( The
details is as 5.1 Photocell location)
Advanced operation and other functions
5.0 Test the bag length automatically
5.01 The system has the function of automatically testing bag length. If the
film with color mark and open the Photocell Switch. Press Start and then
the system will test the bag length automatically. And the packing capacity is
accordingly which will save the time of many testing, setting and adjusting. The
function is fully automatic and it can without labor for changing any bag length.
The system will operate as exactly bag length and packing capacity.
5.02 Technique: When you adopted this function, if you feel the packing
capacity is too quick or too low(The film is too quick to crinkle or too slow to
affection the capacity.) Press Menu to enter into the main menu. And enter the
Capacity setting to adjust the capacity gear manually, which is below Data
setting for bag making. The system will operate as requested.
5.1 Photocell location
5.11 Function: It can replace to move photocell manually and make sure the
cutter will cut the color mark on the packing film exactly.
5.12 Enter methods: Enter Photocell location by pressing .

5.13 When you change different packing film, at the time the cutter dont cut
the color mark. You can adjust the cutter location by pressing or so that
it can make sure the cutter will cut the color mark exactly.
5.14 The digital in the middle of display is means the move length of color
mark. The unit is mm. It will increase or decrease 1mm by pressing or .
5.15 Technique:
Take down the packed bag, along the down direction, check the distance
between the color mark and the up & down cutter. If the color mark is closed to
upper cutter(drawing A), you can increase the photocell location digital by
pressing .If the color mark is closed to down cutter (drawing B), you can
decrease the digital by pressing .

If the distance is larger, you can stop the machine for save the packing film.
And then adjust the photocell location, you can increase or decrease the digital as
the above step. Adjust the about digital by pressing or and fine
adjustment after start the machine.
If the digital should adjust greatly, you can pressing or for above 1
second and then the digital will automatically alter quickly.
5.1.6 Press "Exit" and return "Main window". Finish it.
Important & Safety Warranty: When you take down the bag, you should DO be
careful. You can't put your hand to the heating mould of horizontal sealing for

took down the bag. You should take down the bag till the bag has fallen down to
the basket!!!
5.2 Language selection(Chinese-English)
5.2.1 It has the exchange function of Chinese-English function which is
suitable for international customer to operate it.
5.2.2 Enter methods: Press "Menu" to enter main menu. And the cursor will
move to the sixty line--"System setting". And press "Menu" to enter below
display:

5.2.3 Press "Menu" so that the cursor can move to /English. Exchange them
by pressing or .
5.2.4 Press "Exit" and return "Main window". Finish it.
5.3 Counting reset
5.3.1 Enter methods:
Press "Menu" to enter "Main Window". And select the third line "Counting
reset". Press "Menu" to enter:

5.3.2 Enter the above window. Press "Menu" so that the counting unit become
0 and display "OK".

Press "Menu" so that "Store count" become "ON". Repress "Menu" "Store
count" become "OFF".
5.3.4 Press "Exit" and return "Main window"/"Main menu".
5.3.5 The function of "Stored count": When you want to memory the
quantity this time, set "Stored count" ="ON" before cut off the power. The
quantity line is showed the last quantity. If "Stored count" is always "ON", it
can be stored many times.
5.4 Auxiliary switch
5.4.1 Enter methods
Directly press on control panel
Press "Menu" to enter "Main Window". And then select the fourth line
"Auxiliary switch" by pressing . Repress "Menu" to enter:

5.4.2 Enter the above window. Move cursor to the switch requested by pressing
or . Press "Menu" so that you can let it "ON" or "OFF"

Press "Menu" to enter the below window. You can open or close front/back
vibrating and the vibrating force.
5.4.4 Press "Exit" and return "Main window".

5.5 Brightness control


5.5.1 The function is adjusted the brightness of word in the display, which can
make the work clearly.
5.5.2 Press "Menu" to enter into "Main window". And move the cursor to the

5.5.3 Press so that brightness will higher and so that brightness will
lower. Adjust it till the you can see the words clearly.
5.5.4 Press "Menu" to save the brightness adjusted. The display will show
"OK".
5.5.5 Do not adjust the brightness till without words. You can do the reverse
button if you can't see the words. Or press "Exit" to quit your setting.
5.5.6 If the unclear brightness is saved, please try to do it as below: Press
"Menu" 1 time. Press 4 times. Press "Menu" 1 time. At last press and
hold it down till clear words. If it is still exit, please call us.
5.6 The setting for pyramid bag(It is specially suitable for pyramid bag
packing.)
5.6.1 The color matching for pyramid bag
Function: Two directions horizontal sealing matching the accordingly color on
packing bag.
Methods: If two color in bag cant match two directions of horizontal sealing,
you can press Photocell one time. Therefore, it is showing Color matching for
pyramid bag under the display. At this time, two colors on bag will accordingly
exchange for two directions of horizontal sealing.
5.6.2 The parameter setting for pyramid bag
Press Menu-Main menu-Pyramid bag setting. The display will show:

Sealing methods: Pyramid bag

Sealing method: There are Pyramid bag and Back sealing bag for selection.
Generally, you are select Pyramid bag. If the machine need 1-way-direction of
horizontal sealing(ie. normal back seal bag), you can set it Back seal bag.
5.7 Operation of auger filling setting
5.7.1 Its setting is similar with "Length setting", Capacity setting", "Photocell
setting" and Data setting for bag making. The only difference is this setting is
without "Slitting setting" and "Parameter setting".
5.7.2 The machine is without the function. There is control switch on Motor 2.
The acquiescent setting is "OFF". You can adjust it to "ON" when request.
5.8 Emergency stop (Option)
There is a emergency stop button connector on the controller of "SHJD-2009".
Please connect the always open button in use. If emergency, please press the
button quickly. The system will stop run.(Including the main motor, step motor
of bag making and any auger motor) Note: The most safety methods is cut of the
current power.
5.9

Jog the motor of bag making

On stop state, press "Exit" for 2 seconds so that the motor of bag making will
start to run. Press "Exit" and hold it down so that the step motor will run
continuous.
5.10 Stop delay
Function:When machine is stop, it will keep the sealing cutter in away prevent
form fusing the packing film.
Enter methods:Press "Menu" to enter into "Main window"-"System
setting"-"Stop delay". You can adjust the digital by pressing or .
5.11 Selection for test of bag length
Enter methods: Press "Menu" to enter into "Main window"-"System
setting"-"Length setting"
You should set it on "Automation" state in most case. You can set it "Manual" if

the film is dirty.


Trouble shooting
6.1 Photocell error
,1It shows "Photocell error" and with tick-tick warning sound, please
adjust the sensitive of photocell eye. It has above problems whether the sensitive
is too high or too low.
,2If the difference is between setting digital of bag length and the actual
bag length, it also has above problem. The system has the function of "test the
bag length automatically". If the film has color mark, we suggest "Test
automatically" below "System setting" set "Automatic" which can prevent from
setting error for that.
6.2 Stroke error
It shows "Stroke error" and with tick-tick warning sound, please check it.
6.3 The auger motor didnt run
Please check whether the Motor 2 switch is on as 5.7.2.
6.4 Trouble: The step motor is always run slowly.
Cause: A. Check whether 6 wires of motor is disconnected.
B. Check whether Exit is keep pressed.
6.5 Trouble: It cant test the bag length automatically.

V Use & adjustment of machine

Photocell Sensor Control Part

Owing to the requirement of pattern design on the bags, this equipment is


provided with photoelectric control to ensure integrity and exactness of
every pattern on the bags.

1. Adjustment of check position: to work out the distance from check position
to horizontal-seal mold to be multiple times than the bag length, namely while
photocell eye radiate on the color mark, horizontal-seal mold stays right at the
position of color mark. When photocell eye aim at the film, camera lens is
distanced from the film at 10mm or so, for the purpose to help the light spot
to exactly follow the color mark. As photocell eye catch the color mark,
indication lamp would act accordingly namely the dark light is off and bright
light is on. If it is necessary to move the sealing position forward or backward,
vary the position, forward or backward, of moving lever of photocell eye
system. If it is required to seal in advance, move the photoelectric head
backward; If it is required to seal later, move the photoelectric head forward.
2. Adjustment of sensitivity of photocell eye : As drawing 1 is shown, in the
event that ground color is similar as color mark, photocell eye is needed to
adjust the sensitivity frequently in order to avoid any possible error.(1) Make

the light spot aiming at the light color (generally from ground color). Turn the
knob Sensitivity to get the indication lamp just lit, and meanwhile note
down the present indicated position from knob (set it as point A). (2)Make the
light spot aiming at the dark color (generally from color mark), and turn the
knob Sensitivity to shut off the indication lamp. Go on turning the knob
Sensitivity till the indication lamp is just lit, and meanwhile note down the
present indicated position from knob (Set it as point B). (3) Finally, turn the
knob to the position in between Point A and Point B. Now, it is a best location
for output of sensitivity. (4) As the detected surface is mirror alike, it can
aptly regulate the photoelectric head and gradient of detected surface against
strong reflection .(5) After a long-time use, lens of photoelectric head is dirty
and must be cleaned by softer cotton fabric to avoid any damage to the lens.

1.As per the instruction of diagram below, thread the film onto the film roll, and
then mount the side guard ring and the closing ring onto the film roll. It is strictly
required that the core of film should be leveled with centerline of former to come
to a beeline, and then tighten the left and right closing rings.
2.Fold the film into two equal pieces, and cut the film with a oblique opening.
3.As per instruction of diagram below, thread up the film from guide lever,
floating lever, code printer, photoelectric head, guide roller to the former.

Adjustment of former (as shown below)


1. Adjustment against excess or lack of vertical-sealing width: In the case that
vertical-sealing width is too bigger, loose the screw 2 and move forward the
former. In the case that vertical-sealing width is too smaller, loose the screw 2 and
move backward the former.
2. Adjustment against deflection of bags: As bag appear like parallelogram and its
left corner is less than 90 degree, former outlet sway to the right; As the right
corner of bag is less than 90 degree, former outlet swat to the left.
3. Adjustment against unevenness of vertical-sealing.
1) As margin of bags appear on the right side, former move to the left; As margin
of bags appear on the left side, former move to the right.
2) As margin of bags appear more or less on the left side, press the right tongue
piece by hand to make the right piece of film moving to the left; As margin of
bags appear more or less on the right side, press the left tongue piece by hand to
make the left piece of film moving to the right.
3)As the horizontal-sealing region of bag emerge with wrinkle on the left side,
former outlet sway to the right; As the horizontal-sealing region of bag emerge
with wrinkle on the right side, former outlet sway to the left.
4.Warning: In the course of adjustment of former, film after folding would form a
line that must be in a level with the sealing line of vertical-sealing mold and
horizontal-sealing mold at all the up , down, forward and backward direction.

Adjustment of filling time


Turn the belt by hand. When mold start to seal, use a smaller screwdriver to
slightly loose the locking screw for feed cam on the main shaft. Turn the feed
cam to get the lamp for proximity switch to be lit. Once again tighten the screw.
If required to filling ahead, then clockwise turn the feed cam; On the contrary, if
postponed filling, then turn the feed cam counter-clockwise.
Warning: Powder filling nozzle must be zeroed in on the throat of former.(As
shown below)

Adjustment of weight
1. Adjustment of weight must be done on the operation panel.
2. Note: Parameter value is only saying the turning angle of screw rod while
filling. Filling amount is variable along with the turning angle by direct
proportion, and also related with size of screw rod. The bigger the filling
screw, the much the filling amount. Specification of screw rod is shown as
below: 22#30#42#46# individually matchable with maximum filling
amount at 20ml40ml60ml80ml
3. Generally, filling screw mounted in the machine is supplied according to the
filling amount required by customer.

Adjustment of horizontal-sealing mold


1. When horizontal-sealing mold start to seal, it must be seated at the best
engagement position. Please refer to the following drawing:

2. Adjustment against the mold engagement in the case of drawing A and C. Move the
belt by hand in order to make the mold approach to engagement position where the
spring 5 is just constringed. Release the nut 1, and spin the nut 2 by hand to push out
the horizontal-seal mold 3 on the right side, for the purpose to make mold 3 and mold
4 very close to each other without gap. Finally, fasten the nut 1.

Installation & adjustment of cutter( as shown below)

1. Requirement: Installation of cutter must be done after proper adjustment of


horizontal-sealing mold.
2. Adjustment: 1) Withdraw the screw 6, and then move cutter forward off the holder.
2) New cutter is mounted into the holder 7, and fasten the screw 6. 3) Release the
screw 5, make the edge of cutter to be flushed with holder mouth. 4) In the case
that cutter is disable to cut out a whole piece, loose the screw 5 and move cutter
forward. 5) In the case that the toothed edge of bag is uneven, free the screw 5 and
move cutter backward.

Adjustment of vertical-sealing mold


(1) Change and adjustment of mold (See picture 8)

A) First to take down the former, and release the screw 1, and then take out mold and
heating coil.
B) After change of mold, adjustment of mold should be done. Please refer to the
followings:
a) Move the motorized belt by hand in order to make the vertical-sealing mold
approach to the engagement state. Loose the nut 4, and spin the nut 5, and then push
out the mold 12. For this purpose, all of the left , right , up and down part are seated at

the better engagement position on which is very close to each other without gap and
the teeth engage well. The best engagement position is that two tangents between two
pulling wheels and the sealing line from horizontal-seal mold are combined and
formed into a line by three points.
b) Adjustment of angle of vertical-sealing mold: As the vertical sealing on bag is
irregular and out of position, make the machine jogging and close vertical-sealing
mold. Release the screw 2 and sway the vertical-sealing mold to make it in parallel
with former. Finally, fasten the screw 2.
c)Adjustment of vertical-sealing width: If the vertical sealing is too narrow, get the
machine jogging and close the vertical-sealing mold. Release the screw 2 and move
out the vertical-sealing mold to the position as exactly needed; If the vertical sealing
is too wide, get the machine jogging and close the vertical-sealing mold. Release the
screw 2 and move in the vertical-sealing mold to the position as exactly needed ;
(2) Heating coil burnt out

A) First to take down the former, and release the screw 1, and then take out mold and
heating coil.
B) After change of heating coil, adjustment of heating coil should be done.
Check if the heating coil is burnt out or not. Please refer to the following:
1. Dismantle the connector pin.
2. Measure the resistance. If the value of resistance says R=0 R=, it can tell the
resistance is already burnt out, and replace it with the new one. Pay attention to
the wire connection while changing resistance.
