G. Philosophy of Puzzle
Puzzle is an educational game media that we can easily make yourself even
with secondhand materials around us. In addition, many benefits are achieved when
playing puzzle good child cognitive, fine motor, language, social and emotional
aspects. As well as training of mental stimulation, exercise coordination between the
eyes with his hands, problem solving skills and reasoning, practice creativity, practice
concentration, practice logic, strengthening the memory, introduce children to the
concept of relationship, by selecting the image / form, can be trained to think
mathematically ( using the left brain).
H. Synopsis of FCE Games PUZZLE
Media Puzzle games FCE has been adapted from a puzzle game in general.
FCE Puzzle is an abbreviation of Fun Chemitry Educate Puzzle. The game was
developed to be used as a learning medium that can melatihkan chemical analytical
thinking skills and improve student learning outcomes. In this game contains a set of
exercises group elements IA or alkali group that includes abundance in nature,
physical and chemical properties of alkali group elements, reactions and compounds
of alkali group and its benefits. The game is played by 30 students in a class and
divided into small groups. Each group consists of 6 people aimed so that each
member of the group has the same opportunity to complete FCE Puzzle and answered
questions at Question card.

Group alkali (IA) there are six elements: lithium (Li), Sodium (Na), Potassium
(K), Rubidium (Rb), cesium (Cs), and Francium (Fr). Where later each member
should be complete the puzzle of all the elements in turn. Each member of the group
complete one puzzle then answer questions related circuitry that element. If the
student successfully answer the questions on the Question Card, then the other group
members take turns to solve puzzles one by one until all the puzzle from the class of
alkali resolved. Game will be interrupted if one of the group members get Stop Card.
Stop Card is given if the student cant answer questions in Question Card and these
groups could not continue the game. The group is declared as winners of the groups
that has highest score.
I. Game Rules
1. The class consists of 30 students and divided into 5 groups. where one group

The students determine their turn to each member of the group puts the puzzle of

each element of the alkali group.


3. Each member of the group will prepare a puzzle and answer the questions on the
Question Card
4. If students successfully answered all the questions on the Question Card, then

turn to the other group members to prepare the next puzzle elements. and so on.
If a student can not answer questions in Question Card, then the group got Stop

Card which means that the group could not continue the game.
6. Each questions at Question Card had 25 points.
7. The group with the highest score is declared the winner.
8. Time to play FCE Puzzle is 60 minutes.

Teacher: "Children, at the previous meeting we have discussed the
elements of the alkali group or class IA and nature - nature.
Today we will play while learning to review the material. Later you
will play the game FCE Puzzle.
