Thesplitframerendering(SFR)modeisnolongeravailableasanSLI
renderingmodeoption.
PowerManagementmode
ManyNVIDIAgraphicscardssupportmultipleperformancelevelssothat
thePCcansavepowerwhenfullgraphicsperformanceisnotrequired.To
providemorecontroloverthesepowermanagementcapabilities,NVIDIA
hasaddedthePowerManagementModecontrol.Thecontrolconsistsoftwo
settingsAdaptiveandPreferMaximumPerformance.
Adaptive:Thisisthedefaultsettinginwhichthegraphicscardmonitors
GPUusageandseamlesslyswitchesbetweenmodesbasedonthe
performancedemandsoftheapplication.ThisallowstheGPUtoalwaysuse
theminimumamountofpowerrequiredtorunagivenapplication,andcan
allowevenolder3Dgamestoruninlowerpowermodesifthegamedoes
notrequirefull3Dperformance.NVIDIArecommendsthissettingforbest
overallbalanceofpowerandperformance.
PreferMaximumPerformance:Thissettingletsyoumaintainthecardatits
maximumperformancelevelwhen3Dapplicationsarerunningregardlessof
GPUusage.ThisoptioncanbesetGlobally(forall3Dapplications),oran
applicationprofilecanbecreatedunderProgramSettingstosetthe
preferenceforaparticular3Dapplication.
ThisfeatureissupportedonlyonselectGeForce9SeriesandlaterGPUsand
appliesonlytoDirectXandOpenGLbasedapplications.

Explanation
ThisisnotanNVIDIAissue;itisanartifactofWindowsXPmultidisplay
support.Aftertheswitchtoclonemode,thereareonlythreesurfacestobe
shown,notfour,andtheyaresenttothefirstthreedisplays.Becausethis
behaviormaybeconfusingtoendusers,NVIDIAhasimplementeda
registrykeytodisableclonemode.

FullscreenvideomirroringisnotsupportedbytheQuadroFX3700(orany
otherG9xGPU);furthermore,itisnotsupportedbyWindowsVista.
