SYNC
PROCEDURE

Current Alarms Sync Process:


1.

Extract Current Alarms of both the OMCs

2.

Following must be in the displayed attributes in the mentioned order


Perceived Severity
Acknowledgment Status
Friendly Name
Alarm Type
Specific Problem
Event Date and Time
Clearing Status

3.

Export Alarms in ASCII format

4.

Download the file from respective server i.e 10.1.1.28 for OMC2 and
10.1.1.16 for OMC1
Rename your file as .txt

6. Run the tool for Current alarms manual sync

Select ALU-OMCR for OMC2 and ALU-OMCRB12 for OMC1


from Choose OMC drop down menu at the top of the window
Open the file you have saved in .txt format
Select OK
If sync is successful it will give you final status as Sync Finished
with the total count of alarms cleared

If it ends with Parser Finished status start your procedure from


step 6

Historic Alarms Sync Process:


1. Extract Current Alarms of both the OMCs

Alarm Type
Specific Problem
Event Date and Time
Clearing Status

Export Alarms in ASCII format

Download the file from respective server i.e 10.1.1.28 for OMC2 and
10.1.1.16 for OMC1
Rename your file as .txt

Select ALU-OMCR from Choose OMC drop down menu at the top
of the window
Open the file you have saved in .txt format
Select OK
If sync is successful it will give you final status as Sync Finished
with the total count of alarms cleared

If it ends with Parser Finished status start your procedure from


step 6

*Instructions how to install the tool for Current Alarms sync:


1. Copy the folder in any drive other than C drive
2. Edit Run.bat file in the folder

3. The following file will open

4. Replace the highlighted Path with path at which Java is installed in


your system

5. To find path go to C:>> Program Files>>Java>>Jdk>>bin. Click on


the address bar and copy the link. Paste it at the highlighted path in
step 4

6. Press Ctrl+S to save the file


7. Double click Run.bat following window must open

**Instructions how to install the tool for Historic Alarms sync:


1. Copy the folder in any drive other than C drive
2. Edit FM History Sync.bat file in the folder

3. The following file will open

4. Replace the highlighted Path with path at which Java is installed in


your system

5. To find path go to C:>> Program Files>>Java>>Jdk>>bin. Click on


the address bar and copy the link. Paste it at the highlighted path in
step 4

6. Put the Program Files in inverted commas

7. Press Ctrl+S to save the file


8. Double click Run.bat following window must open
