4. Varsity Tutors Scholarship Monthly Essay Contest

Must be 16 years of age to enter contest. Varsity Tutors holds a monthly $1,000 college
scholarship contest where students write an essay in response to a monthly prompt. Visitors
to the Varsity Tutors scholarship webpage are able to vote via social media for submitted
entries. The top five entries with the most votes are reviewed by Varsity Tutors at the end of
the month and one winner is subsequently chosen to receive the $1,000 college scholarship.

AISD Specific Scholarship


1. Mia and Victoria Parton Scholarship (LGBTQ female senior or female parents) $1,000 DUE 11/18
This scholarship is awarded to a LGBTQ female senior graduating from an AISD high school or whose
parents are female LGBTQ.
SUBMIT: AISD Scholarship Application (please download application above) NOTE: No parent or
counselor signature required on application. Also, Counselors do NOT need to complete "FOR OFFICE
USE ONLY" section at the bottom of the first page of the application. Essay (see application for topic
of your choice) Photo Parent contact information. NOTE: Parent will only be contacted with applicant's permission.

7. American Chemical Society Scholars Program
