EuroVelo Overview Map


EuroVelo Overview Map
First edition published in 2013 and valid for at
least three years.
One of the main EuroVelo promotional tools
and our give away.
A high quality overview map (scale
1:5,000,000) covering the entire European
network.

Over 80,000 copies of the first edition of the


map were eventually printed and distributed
across Europe.

June 2016: publication of a guide on the
information needed to update the map.
June September 2016: gathered all the
information (thanks to all the partners who
contributed!).
October 2016: new design of the map and first
draft presented to the partners.
Map printed and delivered by February 2016.

What is new?
New route (EuroVelo 17 Rhone Cycle Route) and a new route extension (EuroVelo 1
in Portugal).
New route categories and legend.
Updated information most of the partners contributed-. It guarantees an even better
quality and accuracy on this new edition.

Next steps
Proposed Timetable:
EVMT sends the first draft to the NECC/Cs by 24th
October 2016.
NECC/Cs will provide of feedback on the map
(regarding their own country) by 14th November 2016.
EVMT will send the second draft version to the
NECC/Cs by 9th December 2016.
Final version of the map ready by 22nd December 2016.
Final quality check by 4th January 2017.
Printed map delivery to the ECF and NECC/Cs by 15th
February 2017

where nothing appears/we don not
know what is happening.

Encourage the relevant NECC/Cs


and other stakeholders to develop the
routes.

The overall aim is to ensure the


quality of EuroVelo routes.

Please consider this Call for Action as


an opportunity to speed up the route
development.

The definition of the itinerary.


We did not receive any information and we cannot
provide a link to at least basic information about
the route on the internet.

If these two criteria are met, the EVMT consider


the major route section undeveloped.

EuroVelo Council (Beginning 2017)

Remove the route / section from the underperforming list
Last Call for MALTA, ALBANIA, GREECE, ROMANIA and FYROM
